Objective:To explor the pathogenic and prognostic factors in patients with severe acute renal failure (sARF).Methods:A total of54cases with severe ARF patients were enrolled from hospitalized in our hospital from January2008through2012January. All patients were divided into two groups, young and middle-aged group (less than60aged, n=28) and an elderly group (more than60aged, n=26). Meanwhile, the pathogenic factors, biochemical criteria (BUN, Scr and ALB),therapeutic methods and prognostic factors were analyized in two groups with severe ARF patients. Results:The main pathogeng of sARF is toxicosis, followed by cardiovascular disease. The incidence of sARF was similar between young and middle-aged (<60age, n=28) and elderly groups(51.9%.48.1%).The main pathogenic factors in young and middle group was toxicosis, and was cardiovascular disease in elderly groups. The main therapeutic methods was renal replacement therapy(RRT,66.7%) and pharma-cotherapy(33.3%).The albumin was more than37g/L and lower than37g/l was29.63%and70.37%in preteartment of all sARF patients, and the mortality was18.75%and47.37%between two groups, there were significant differences between two groups (P <0.05).The mortality was46.40%and19.20%in young and middle and elderly groups, respectively, there were significant differences between two groups (P<0.05)Conclusion:The main pathogeng of sARF is toxicosis, followed by cardiovascular disease. The prognosis of patients with sARF may was correlated with the pathogenic factors, ages, degree of disease severe, therapeutic methods and nutrition condition.
