Objective:1. To describe the expression levels of HSF1in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC)2. To investigate the role of HSF1in metastasis and recurrence, prognosis of HCC3. To explore the possibility of targeted therapyMethod:To compare the expression levels of HSF1between73cases and55cases of HCC tissues and corresponding adjacent tissues combined with the pathological characteristics. There distinctions of expression in different pathologic tissues were studied. The multivariate COX proportional hazards model was used to analyze the prognostic recurrence risk factors.Results:1. HSF1protein staining positive signal was pale-brown or tan, mainly localized in the nuclear. Its expression in HCC tissues was significantly higher than the adjacent noncancerous normal tissue (P<0.01).2. The expression of HSF1protein was not correlated with the gender, age, tumor size, AFP expression levels, HBV status, but it was correlated with nodules number histological differentiation, portal vein invasion, lymph node metastasis and the capsular.3. Cox proportional hazards model, multivariate analysis showed that lymph node metastasis, portal vein invasion, no capsule, overexpression of HSF1associates with poor prognosis, is an essential independent risk factor for the impact of tumor recurrence.4. The group with high HSF1level had more recurrence risk than low profile. Conclusion:The high expression of HSF1in hepatocellular carcinoma, involved in the genesis and development of liver cancer, liver cancer invasion and metastasis; play an important role in the invasion and metastasis of hepatocellular carcinoma; The HSF1with HCC free survival after surgery have a significant correlation. HSFlcan be used as a prognostic indicator, and as a cancer treatment new targets.
