With the development of human civilization, economics, social science, technology and health standards, people generally live longer than ever before. Following with global population aging, cerebrovascular disease incidence increased year by year, which also leaded to an increasing of the incidence of VD. America multi center Neurology epidemiological survey (Roman,1991) showed that approximately26.3%of the patients over the age of60who was survived in ischemic stroke are with VD. The pathogenesis of VD is associated with race. The incidence rate of VD in the western countries is about15^20percent of all dementia, preceded only by AD (Alzheimer’s disease). The incidence rate of Asian countries is higher, Japanese VD patients accounted for about50percent of all dementia. Epidemiological investigation of11urban and rural areas in our country have found that VD prevalence in people over the age of60is324/100000, which is about60percent of all dementia patients.
