Objective:give total saponins of panax notognseng eye drops on normal rabbit eyes, establish a irritation index measure of total saponins of panax notognseng eye drops on the rabbit eye, to investigate the irritation reaction of total saponins (PNS) application on the local of rabbit eyes, confirm the safety of local application of total saponins of panax notognseng eye drops in rabbit eyes.Method:Select healthy40adult New Zealand white rabbits (80eyes), divided into blank control group,1%concentration group,2%concentration group,3%concentration group, each group10rabbits (20eyes).Check each rabbit eyes with fluorescein sodium dilution24hours before experiment, eye irritation symptoms, corneal and conjunctival defect injury in rabbit excluded from the experiment, the qualified rabbits for experiment. And observe the conjunctiva, cornea and iris irritation reaction by slit lamp, according to eye irritation score record score of eye reaction. Then by using SPSS17software for data rank sum test and X2test (four exact test) test. Through the above two methods to measure the safety of total saponins of local treatment of bleeding in three seven rabbit eyes. The index of the rabbit cornea, iris, conjunctival irritation score results as a criterion:1%concentration group,2%concentration group,3%concentration group and blank control group had no statistical significance (P>0.05);1%concentration group,2%concentration group,3%groups had no statistical difference between the concentration of stimulus response (P>0.05).Conclusion:In the treatment of PNS eye drops in rabbit subconjunctival hemorrhage, were observed with the blink of an eye, corneal, conjunctival reaction, the rabbit iris, and secretion confirmed local treatment of total saponins of three seven eyes in rabbit subconjunctival hemorrhage is safe and feasible.
