Objective: To compare the incidence of ectopic pregnancy(EP)between fresh andfrozen-thawed embryo transfers, and explore the generant cause of EP among differentendometrial preparation protocols. Discuss the influence of estrogen on ectopicpregnancies in IVF/ICSI-ET and analyze its related factors. Methods: The data of3,073fresh cycles in group A and2,090frozen-thawedembryo transfers (F-ET) cycles in group B including1,997cleavage-stage in group B1and93blastocyst transfers in group B2from Jan.2006to May.2013were analyzedretrospectively. The incidences of ectopic pregnancy rate were studied between groupand group B1, group A and group B2;and ectopic pregnancy rates were also comparedamong three endometrial preparation protocols including natural cycle, hormonereplacement cycle and stimulating ovulation cycle. Then confine fresh cycle group、hormone replacement cycle and stimulate ovulation cycle as the hormone interventiongroup, natural cycle group as the control group, the infertility factors and generalclinical characteristics were compared between the two groups, and took use ofmultivariate logistic regression to analyze the related influencing factors of ectopicpregnancy. Results: The incidence of ectopic pregnancy was3.67%in3,073fresh cycles. In2,090F-ET cycles, both group B1(1.17%) and group B2(2.63%) had a lower EP ratethan Fresh cycles(P<0.05).Compared with the other endometrial preparation groups, EPrate in the natural cycle was the smallest with statistically significance. The ectopicpregnancy rate was increased in the patients with oviduct factors or high sex hormoneson the embryo transfer day. Conclusion: The incidence of EP in FET cycles was lower than that of freshembryo transfer cycles. Among three kinds of frozen embryo transplantation membranepreparation scheme, natural cycle method had the lowest incidence of ectopic pregnancy,High estrogen status caused by controlled ovarian hyperstimulation or endometrialpreparation protocol might contribute to the occurrence of ectopic pregnancy.
