One of the reasons of Delay aversion in children with ADHD is possibly that they will feel longer waiting time perception, and different emotional states can regulate children’s subjective perception of time. Many studies show that emotional or meaningful stimulus inserting the delaying time can reduce the level of Delay aversion of children with ADHD. In this study, children with ADHD and healthy children had completed Choice-delay task(CDT)and Verbal estimation task, and we’ll reduce the level of Delay aversion by adjusting the emotional station to short the subjective time perception. The study included three experiments. In experiment1,21children with ADHD and21healthy controls had completed Choice-delay task, estimated the waiting time. We had compared the performance of the two groups, to test whether children with ADHD tend to overestimate the waiting time. In experiment2,inserting positive and negative pictures in Choice-delay task, we’ll investigate the influence of emotional titer to time perception and delay aversion of two groups. In experiment3, we’ll investigate the influence of emotional arousal to time perception and delay aversion of two groups. Conclusions are as follows:1. Children with ADHD appeared delay aversion, and the tendency to overestimate the waiting time.2. Compared with negative emotions, the positive emotions could reduce the tendency of ADHD children’s subjective time perception for waiting, also improve the level of ADHD children’s delay aversion in a certain extent.3. Compared with low-arousal positive emotions, The high-arousal positive emotions could reduce the tendency of ADHD children’s subjective time perception for waiting, also improve the level of ADHD children’s delay aversion in a certain extent.4. There was no effect about delay aversion of healthy children by adjusting emotions. They always prefer to chance later larger rewards. Positive emotions and different arousal of positive emotions can also reduce healthy children’s subjective interval.
