Objective:To study the level of peripheral blood CD4+CD25+regulatory T cells (CD4+CD25+Treg) in the patients with Asthma and the correlation between the ratio of CD4+CD25+Treg cell and lung function (FEV1%) and the correlation between the ratio of CD4+CD25+Treg cell and interleukin-18(IL-18) and immunoglobulin E (IgE).Method:16cases of patients with moderate to severe asthma have been included into research group and14healthy people as control group. All subjects were detected lung function test (FEV1%).Flow cytometry was used to detect the level of all subjects’CD4+CD25+Treg. Enzyme-linked immunesorbent assay (ELISA) was used to measure the levels of serum IL-18and IgE. The correlations between the level of CD4+CD25+Treg and FEV!%,CD4+CD25+Treg and IL-18,and CD4+CD25+Treg and IgE were measured. Compared the levels of CD4+CD25+Treg of the two groups with independent samples t-test. With spearman correlation analysis to measure the correlation between CD4+CD25+Treg and FEV1%, the correlation between CD4+CD25+Treg and IL-18and the correlation between CD4+CD25+Treg and IgE. Results:The level of CD4+CD2.5+Treg of the research group was obviously lower than that of healthy control (P<0.05);the levels of serum IL-18and IgE of the research group were significantly higher than those of healthy control (P<0.05).There is a positive correlation between the level of CD4+CD25+Treg and lung function in the research group (r=0.438, P<0.05), and a negative correlation between the level of CD4+CD25+Treg and IL-18(r=-0.385, P<0.05), and a negative correlation between the level of CD4+CD25+Treg and IgE (r=-0.916, P<0.05)Conclusion:CD4+CD25+Treg may increase IgE through the regulation the of IL-18which lead to asthma.
