Chinese medicine and Chinese martial arts are parts of the brilliant culturalheritage in China. In the course of history, Chinese medicine and Chinese martial artsbecome closer and go forward hand in hand since both of them are in the same historicalbackground and are developed on the basis of Chinese philosophy. Through the ages,people with superiors martial arts are also famous experts in orthopedics, andorthopedics doctor are mostly out of martial artists. Therefore, orthopedics in TCM hasplayed a positive role in promoting the healthy development of Chinese martial arts.In this paper, research methods like literature research, expert interview,comprehensive analysis will be used. And based on the main contents of orthopedics inTCM, the philosophy thoughts, theoretical basis and their application in Chinese martialarts will be studied so as to analysis the positive factors of promoting the healthydevelopment of Chinese martial arts by the orthopedics in TCM. It will be of greatsignificance to carrying forward the national excellent traditional culture, promotingnational soft power, improving the physical and mental health, revealing the nationalwisdom, broadening the martial arts research field and promoting the healthy andsustainable development of Chinese martial arts.Mainly research results:1. Chinese medicine and Chinese martial arts are both excellent traditional culturein China, and in the process of their development, they are mutual influenced andpromoting.2. Philosophy thoughts like the concept of "nature and humanity" as a whole,dialectical thought of Yin and Yang and five elements have significant guiding meaningto the formation of Chinese martial arts. The theories of TCM meridian doctrine, energyand qi doctrine, zangxiang doctrine have become important theoretical basis for wushuexercises.3. The Buddhist and Taoist orthopedics formed an classic orthopedic therapy whichhas unique efficacy to the martial arts sports injury. Chinese treatments such as massage, acupuncture, Chinese medicine therapy have great curative effect to themartial arts sports injury and they provide the guarantee for the healthy and sustainabledevelopment of wushu sport. In the field of the national fitness, the combination ofmartial arts practice exercise and traditional Chinese medicine health care treatment hasbecome a universal means in guiding people effectively and scientifically improvingtheir health and the quality of life.4. The combination of TCM and martial arts provides a good way of thinking tosolve the problem of sub-health. Rolling fitness, self-defense, medical treatment, healthcare, entertainment as one, it can satisfy the requirements of modern people.5. Modern scientific attitude and methods should be applied in studying Chinesemedicine science and the Chinese martial arts, and research of application of thecombination of Chinese medicine and Chinese martial arts should be concentrated. Interms of competitive sports training, enhance the ability of the movement of athletesand form a training system with traditional characteristics; As in the field of sportsinjury prevention and control, combine the rich experience accumulated by the oldmartial artists and the unique therapies, so as to seek a solution to sports injurytreatment which is more effective and quick. As a result, the appropriate solution willbe found for prolonging the life of sports and sports rehabilitation.6.Orthopedics of TCM and Chinese martial arts have gained more and moreattention from the world. The combination of Chinese martial arts and TCM will be theneed of social development. We should treat the Chinese excellent traditional culturewith the standpoint of dialectical materialism and historical materialism. Repositionedand rethinking, breaking through the original development model, combining with thecurrent situation, continuously reforming and innovating, advancing with the times, thuswe can make a contribution to the scientific heritage and the society.
