ObjectiveThe past10years, the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine admitted with acute pancreatitis(AP) epidemiological data, and the patient’s diagnosis and treatment were retrospectively analyzed syndromes characterized of AP, the use of medical treatment of AP provide the basis in clinical.MethodsAccording to the clinical features of acute pancreatitis and four diagnostic information collection requirements of TCM, develop AP clinical information collection form, the case history information of AP inpatients treated in the1st affiliated hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine which are from January2004to December2013was collected for retrospective study. Using SPSS16.0statistical software for statistical analysis which to explore the characteristics of syndromes of TCM and drug treatment of AP.Results(1)The number of cases of acute pancreatitis in patients with542cases,302cases of males(55.7%),240cases of female(44.3%), male to female ratio of1.26:1. Age of onset is2-96years old, with an average age of51.15±19.04. The onset of the month in January to March, July, September and December of higher prevalence.(2)There were350cases of food incentives (64.58%). Diagnosis of biliary AP were246cases (45.39%), hyperlipidemia108cases (19.93%), alcoholic87 cases (16.05%), idiopathic60cases (11.07%), other factors41cases (7.56%).(3)Common symptoms:pain in the upper abdomen, lower back radiating pain, bloating, chest tightness, nausea, vomiting, eat less, fatigue, body weight drowsiness, fever, cold sweat dripping, pale tongue, tongue thick greasy and so on. Clinical signs:abdominal tenderness over the most common, and most patients with rebound tenderness, muscle tension and so on.(4)TCM type:Qi Stagnation79cases (14.58%), liver and gallbladder damp-heat syndrome298cases (54.98%), bowel syndrome real hot junction92cases (16.97%), each node heat stasis syndrome in23cases (4.24%), Qi and Yin Deficiency30cases (5.54%), stomach Deficiency syndrome11cases (2.03%), outside the closed off the card9cases (1.66%).(5)Commonly used in traditional Chinese medicine:Radix Bupleuri, rhubarb, Magnolia officinalis, Immature Bitter Orange, Bitter Orange, Radix scutellaria, coptis, costustoot, Curcumae, Radix Paeoniae Alba, Radix Paeoniae Rubra, Corydalis, Rhizoma Pinelliae preparatum, Amomum kravanh, Tuckahoe, Coix seed, dandelion.ConclusionThe incidence of acute pancreatitis in Guangzhou in the past10years showed an increasing trend; concentrated in the age of onset of middle age; the incidence multi concentrated in the winter and spring months and holidays season;64.58%patients had eating incentives; syndromes in the liver and gallbladder damp heat more common type; it indicate AP incidence that is related to improper diet and unhealthy living habits, needs attention. AP treatment effective of the total rate is83.21%, mortality is only3.51%, it showed that Integrative Medicine of AP has obvious advantages.
