Objectives This article aims to study The correlation between the expression of SIX1protein and biological characteristics of cervical cancer.Methods There are204cases were selected to be experimental specimens,including32cases of normal cervical tissues,49cases of CIN,107cases of cervical squamous carcinomas and16cases of cervical adenocarcinoma.Tissue Microarray including all the cervical cancer tissue.We use immunofluorescence staining to detect the location of SIX1protein in different cervical tissue cells and immunohistochemical SP method to detect SIX1protein expression in the above tissues mentioned.We investigated the relationship between the expression of SIX1protein and clinical pathologic features of cervical cancer.Results l:From normal cervical epithelium to CIN and invasive carcinoma,the positive expression of SIX1protein have a significant rise in quantity.Compared to normal cervical,the positive rate and positive strength of SIX1protein in cervical cancer tissues increased significantly.The statistical results show meaningful.2:the immunofluorescence staining revealed that SIX1protein were mainly positive signals in cytoplasm and nucleolus in cervical cancer cells.3:The expression of SIX1in cervical cancer has a statistics significance in three aspects which are the size of tumor diameter, lymphatic and hematogenous metastasis. While there are no statistics signifcice in age,TNM stage and TNM grading.Conclusions1:The overexpression of SIX1protein may be involved in the occurrence and development of cervical cancer.2:The expression of SIX1protein might be correlated with invasion and metastasis of cervical cancer. It could provide a possible molecular marker in the clinical work.
