Objective:To study the relationship between CXCR4, CXCR4’s downstream factors integrin β1, MMP-9, VEGF-C and metastasis of cervical squamous cell carcinoma. Methods:Immunohistochemical SABC method was used to detect the expression of CXCR4, integrin β1, MMP-9and VEGF-C in60cases of cervical squamous cell carcinoma,20cases of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia tissues and10cases of normal cervical tissue.Results:(1) the positive expression rate of CXCR4in normal cervical tissues, CIN and cervical carcinoma was respectively0.00%,15.00%and51.67%. The differences of CXCR4expression between normal cervix tissue group and cervical cancer group, as well as the differences of CXCR4expression between CIN group and cervical cancer group were statistically significant (P=0.00, P=0.00), the expression of CXCR4in cervical carcinoma was related to lymph node metastasis and clinical stage(P=0.00, P=0.00), had no ralation to the tissue differentiation (P=0.50)(2) In cervical carcinoma, CXCR4and integrin β1was positively correlated, the Pearson correlation coefficient is0.98(P=0.00).(3) In cervical carcinoma, CXCR4and MMP-9was positively correlated, the Pearson correlation coefficient is0.89(P=0.00).(4) In cervical carcinoma, CXCR4and VEGF-C was positively correlated, the Pearson correlation coefficient is0.95(P=0.00).Conclusion:(1) CXCR4’s higher expresion may be related to the invasion and the lymph node metastasis of cervical cancer.(2) CXCR4is closed to the cervical carcinoma invasion and metastasis, which may be related to the higher expression of integrin β1, MMP-9and VEGF-C.
