Clinical Study On Postpartum Obesity And Abdominal Skin Loose Treated By Acupoint Penetration Thread Burial Therapy Using PDO Serrated Thread

Objective:Both postpartum obesity and abdominal skin loose can be seen coincidentally after labor, with a high incidence, which may easily increase risk of metabolic disorders such as heart attack、hypertension and diabetes. It is the most serious harm to patient’s physical and spiritual health. With the raise of economical level and living level,affected by many factors such as antepartum and postnatal excess nutrient, man’s demand for more beautiful raise, people have great demand for safety/effective/rapidly nonoperative therapy to improve the state of being postpartum obesity and abdominal skin loose.The purpose of this study is to quantitative evaluate the efficacy and safety on postpartum obesity and abdominal skin loose treated by acupoint penetration thread burial therapy using PDO serrated thread, by objective indicators.Methods:We randomly divided60eligible subjects into treatment group and control group (each n=30). Treatment group was treated with acupoint penetration thread burial therapy using PDO serrated thread in Korea TCR embedding package,and other with acupoint penetration therapy using dental needle for single use, which is the same size as the needle in TCR embedding package. Both of them were given instructions about details of life. Therapeutic effects was observed at2points (prior treatment,2month after treatment), so was the other index including obesity degree/BMI/F%/WC and self-rating degree of abdominal skin loose score (very serious=0/serious=1/general=2/slight=3/very slight). Any of the untoward effects may occur in the whole study would be observed and recorded. All of the research data was putted into computer to establish database, and data analysis and describe by SPSS19.0.Results:The indexes including obesity degree/BMI/F%/WC and self-rating degree of abdominal skin loose were compared between the two groups(P>0.05) bef ore treatment, which showed they were comparable. But after the treatment, t he indexes including obesity degree/BMI/F%/WC in treatment group was lowe r than that in control group, with significant difference(P<0.05). In the c ompared of therapeutic results, Excellent rate:treatment group>control gro up(P<0.05);effective rate:treatment group≈control group(P>0.05);noneffec tive:treatment group<control group(P<0.05);the total response rate:treat ment group>control group(P<0.05). And after the treatment, self-rating degr ee of abdominal skin loose score was higher than that in the control grou p, with significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion:Acupoint penetration thread burial therapy using PDO serrated thread in Korea TCR embedding package is a new、minimally invasive and safe therapy for postpartum obesity, which has many advantages other therapy can not analogy with, such as faster response、longer effect、easier to operate、save much more time and strength、much more easily popularized widely. At the same time, it also is a nonoperative/minimally invasive/practical therapy to improve the state of abdominal skin loose, with the advantages such as safe/effective/easy to operate/cheap/fast response. It can provide high quality evidence-based medical evidence for making standardized TCM treatment for postpartum obesity and abdominal skin loose.
