Objective:Using randomized controlled method in a clinical trial of buchangnaoxintong combined with xuanning in treating primary hypertension to verify the effectiveness of buchangnaoxintong in primary hypertension.Methods:76patients with primary hypertension were recruited from Guangdong Provincial Hospital, and were randomly allocated into treatment group and control group. Treatment group was treated with naoxintong, as well as xuanning, whereas, control group, xuanning, for a period of6months. Variation including blood pressure, assessment of syndrome patterns, blood sugar, blood lipid, function of endothelia and some other biochemical index were tested. Intra-group and inter-group comparison would be calculated so as to make conclusion. Results:Through comparison of clinical study in buchangnaoxintong combined with xuanning in treating primary hypertension, to assess the effectiveness of buchangnaoxintong in treating primary hypertension and variation of syndrome patterns, in order to provide for the ample reference of buchangnaoxintong in treating primary hypertension.Conelusion:1. Blood pressure:Both treatment group and control group had dropped in systolic pressure. After analysis, systolic pressure before treatment, after3months, after6months had significantly dropped in intra-group comparison. There was statistical significance between before treatment and treatment after3months, treatment after3months and treatment after6months (P<0.01). Statistical difference, also, could be seen between two different intervention groups (P<0.05). The treatment group had a more significant drop than control group. In diastolic pressure, after treatment, drops had seen in two groups. After analysis, diastolic pressure in treatment group had significantly declined in before treatment, treatment after3months and treatment after6months. There was statistical significance between before treatment and treatment after3months(P<0.01). There was no statistical significance between treatment after3months and treatment after6months(P>0.05). Diastolic pressure in control group had significant drop between before treatment, treatment after3months and treatment after6months. There was no statistical significance between before treatment and treatment after3months, treatment after3months and treatment after6months (P>0.05). There was statistical significance between two groups in diastolic pressure(P<0.01), and treatment group had a more significant declined than control group. Total effectiveness and drop of pressure in treatment group was greater than control group, and had statistical significance(P<0.01).2. Assessment of syndrome patterns:During intervention of3months, there was statistical significance in the result of treatment between the treatment group and control group(P<0.05). Treatment group had greater improvement in syndrome assessment. During intervention of6months, there was statistical significance between two groups(P<0.01), and treatment group had a greater improvement in syndrome pattern assessment.3. Blood sugar and blood lipid:In hyperlipiodermia group, treatment group and control group in blood lipid had no statistical significance before treatment (P<0.05), after treatment, cholesterol dropped in both groups. There was statistical significance in treatment group in cholesterol change (P<0.05), whereas, no statistical difference in control group. Two groups in triglyceride had no statistical significance before treatment (P<0.01), after treatment, triglyceride dropped in both groups. There was statistical significance in treatment group in triglyceride change(P<0.05), whereas, no statistical difference in control group, and treatment group had a greater change than control group. In non-hyperlipiodermia group, there was no statistical significance before treatment in two groups. After treatment, cholesterol dropped in both groups. After analysis, there was no statistical significance between before and after treatment in both groups(P>0.05), similar drops occurred in two groups. There was no statistical significance in triglyceride before treatment in both groups(P>0.05), after treatment, triglyceride dropped in both groups. After analysis, there was no statistical significance before and after treatment in both groups, and similar decline occurred in both groups.4. Function of endothelia:There was no statistical significance in blood flow mediated dilation(FMD) before treatment in both groups(P>0.05). After treatment, FMD raised in both groups. After statistical analysis, there was no statistical significance before and after treatment in FMD, there was a greater raise in treatment group. There was no statistical significance in nitroglycerine mediated dilation (NMD) before treatment in both groups (P>0.05). After treatment, NMD raised in both groups. After statistical analysis, there was no statistical significance before and after treatment in NMD, there was a greater raise in treatment group.
