Background:Thyroid disease incidence is rising, which is given priority to with the increased incidence of nodular goiter, Chinese medicine called nodular goiter "gallae","meat gall", belongs to the category of gall, the motherland medicine has long been realized that the occurrence of gall and modern factors, geographical, and diet is closely related to the soil factors, including modern not shu is the most important factor in the onset of nodular goiter. TCM holds that modern factors closely related with nodular thyroid disease. Objective:Using questionnaire to collect data and blood for blood objective indicators, statistical analysis of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) to discuss modern correlation with tuberous thyroid disease, and the correlation of thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), in order to guide the clinical prevention and treatment of the disease. Methods:From February2013to February2014the first affiliated hospital of guangzhou university of TCM doctor second surgery included in standard nodular goiter were treated by retrospective survey. Fill in the same TCM information collection table, life events scale and trait coping style scale (unable to fill out the questions by the researchers to fill in), for the patient of negative life events after nearly five years of sadness and anxiety of modern factors such as the stimulus and the impact of events, to the patients and the coping styles of patients with documented and ratings, such as collecting laboratory determination of TSH in patients with preoperative values, the statistical analysis using statistical package. Results: 1. Patients with nodular goiter sicken age between18to79years, the average age of46.21±13.25years old;2. Men52cases in this study, accounting for22.7%; Women in177cases, accounting for77.3%, male to female ratio is about1:3.4;3. Nodular goiter, male and female of TSH in the general population figures were1.01mIU/L,1.02mIU/L and1.02mIU/L, male and female serum TSH level had no statistical significance (P=0.63);(2) male serum TSH median1.24mlU/L is the highest, distributed in aged60-, lowest in aged18-, but men all ages TSH differences had no statistical significance(P>0.05); The highest median serum TSH (3) women serum TSH median1.80mIU/L is the highest, dis-tributed in aged30~, likewise, all ages in TSH differences had no statistical significance (P>0.05);(4) the total population of all ages TSH also not statistically significant (P>0.05);4.5years before diagnosis in patients with nodular goiter by negative life events of the top three in the family marriage problems are13.63%,12.44%for their children’s future, relationship problems by12.10%;5. Positive response in patients with nodular goiter compared with national norm, no statistical significance(p>0.05), and negative coping has statist-ically significant(p<0.05);TSH(y) and partial correlation coefficient of ne-gative life events(X1)=0.159, p=0.017, TSH and negative correlation between negative life events have statistical significance.Conclusion:l.The nodular goiter in women, mainly middle-aged and old;2. Poor sorrow, sadness, anger, etc of modern factors associated with the pathogenesis of nodular goiter;3. Nodular goiter patients serum TSH in terms of gender and age there is no obvious difference;4. If confronted with negative life events, nodular goiter patients with negative coping style, negative coping style may be one of the factors of the disease occurrence;5. Negative life events were negatively correlated with TSH, can lead to emotional a series of changes, as a source of stress, and finally lead to TSH secretion disorder, leading to the occurrence of nodular goiter.
