[Objective]By detecting the changes of the levels of the placenta growth factor (PLGF) and beta human chorionic gonadotropin (β-HCG) in venous blood of pregnant women in normal pregnancy, mild preeclampsia and severe preeclampsia, to evaluate the function of the placenta growth factor and beta human chorionic gonadotropin in the development of preeclampsia and the correlation in preeclampsia.[Methods]Determining the serum levels of PLGF and (3-HCG of28cases of normal pregnancy group,24cases of the mild preeclampsia group and23cases of severe preeclampsia group in the serum and by means of enzyme-linked immmunsobent assay (ELISA) and chemiluminescence immunoassay(CLIA). SPSS(Statistic Package for Social Science) were used for data analysis.[Results]1.PLGF levels in venous blood of pregnant women in normal pregnancy, mild preeclampsia and severe preeclampsia are(91.61±30.73)pg/ml、(72.05±22.40)pg/ml、(43.71±16.41)pg/ml respectively. Mild preeclampsia group decreased more obviously than the normal pregnancy group(p<0.05), Severe preeclampsia group decreased more obviously than mild preeclampsia group(p<0.05). Severe preeclampsia group decreased more obviously than the normal pregnancy group(p<0.05), by comparing with PLGF levels in venous blood of pregnant women.2.β-HCG levels in venous blood of pregnant women in normal pregnancy, mild preeclampsia and severe preeclampsia are(24467.79±9716.99)mIU/ml (42310.33±3570.31)mIU/ml、(56505.52±17968.80)mIU/ml respectively. Mild preeclampsia group raised more obviously than the normal pregnancy group(p<0.05), Severe preeclampsia group raised more obviously than mild preeclampsia group(p<0.05). Severe preeclampsia group raised more obviously than the normal pregnancy group(p<0.05), by comparing with P-HCG levels in venous blood of pregnant women.3.Negative correlation between the levels of PLGF and β-HCG in venous blood of pregnant women in preeclampsia(r=-0.502, p=0.000<0.05).[Conclusions]1.The serum PLGF levels in the preeclampsia were lower than normal pregnancy women. The serum PLGF levels in the mild preeclampsia group and severe preeclampsia group were lower than the normal pregnancy group. The serum PLGF levels in the severe preeclampsia group were lower than mild preeclampsia group. Differences are statistically significant. The results show that the PLGF levels in normal pregnancy is the highest, the mild preeclampsia group takes second place, the severe preeclampsia group is the lowest. It is speculated that PLGF may participate in the occurrence and development of preeclampsia. Furthermore, the serum levels of PLGF correlate with the degree of severity of preeclampsia.2.The serum β-HCG levels in the preeclampsia were higher than normal pregnancy women. The serum β-HCG levels in the mild preeclampsia group and the severe preeclampsia study group were higher than the normal preeclampsia group. The serum β-HCG levels in the severe preeclampsia group were higher than mild preeclampsia group. Differences are statistically significant. The results show that β-HCG levels in normal pregnancy is the lowest, the mild preeclampsia group takes second place, the severe preeclampsia group is the highest. It is speculated that β-HCG may participate in the occurrence and development of preeclampsia. Furthermore, the serum levels of P-HCG correlate with the degree of severity of preeclampsia.3.We find negative correlation between the levels of PLGF and P-HCG in venous blood of pregnant women in preeclampsia. It is speculated that PLGF and β-HCG play interactive role in the morbidity of preeclampsia. They can be used as index of combined forecasting preeclampsia.
