The Observation Of Application Of Gingival Sulcus Wound In Excision Of Cyst Of The Jaws

objective: TO discuss the application and advantage of gingival sulcus woundin excision of cyst of the jaws. method: To analyze the26cysts of the jawsunder operation whose diameters are bigger than2.5cm. According to the differentsurgical approach, the clinical data were divided into two groups A and B. the A groupadopted the gingival sulcus wound. the control B group adopted the curved wound insulcus vestibularis which is traditional approach. The healing results of postoperativewound in the2groups were comparatively analyzed. Result: The postoperativegingival sulcus wounds in A group were primary healing, no cracking and fistulae. Norecurrence happened in tracking observation (1month~1year).11cases in B group happened delay wound healing,suture loosing or falling off. fistula in3cases andinfection in1case. conclusion: The gingival sulcus wound in the excision of the cyst ofthe jaws is a effective method which can maintain the integrity of the periosteum,exposure cyst well,reduce bleeding during operation, emove throughly cysticlesions,and also can prevent poor postoperative wound healing, fistula and relapse。...
