Objective: To evaluate the influence in estrogen receptor, progesterone receptors,Her-2and Ki-67after neoadjuvant chemotherapy in breast cancer and correlate theirchanges with status of menopause.Methods: We selected46patients with histological diagnosis of advanced primarybreast carcinoma. All of the patients were confirmed by clinical and radiographicdigagnosis as phase two or three advanced primary breast carcinoma. ER, PR, Her-2and Ki-67were detected by immunohistochemistry preoperative. Then chemotherapyregimen used for all patients consisted of two cycles of docetaxel (75mg/m2) andepirubicin (50mg/m2) and cyclophosphamide (500mg/m2) with an interval of21days,followed by breast-conserving surgery or radical mastectomy. All the date submit tonormal distribute and comparison between groups utilize chi-square test. For changebefore and after neoadjuvant chemotherapy, the original hypothesis is defined as thebiopsy and surgical specimens immunohistochemical of biological markers are the same,the opposite hypothesis is that there are differences in the biological markers before andafter neoadjuvant chemotherapy, P=0.05Results: ER and PR levels drop after neoadjuvant chemotherapy, the difference wasstatistically significant (P<0.05). The change of ER, PR and menopausal status don’tstatistically related (P>0.05); Her-2expression changes after neoadjuvant chemotherapy have no statistical significance (P>0.05). Ki-67expression reduced after neoadjuvantchemotherapy the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion: Neoadjuvant chemotherapy changes the status of biological markers,leads the ER, PR, Ki-67levels drop.
