ObjectiveTo evaluate the protective effect of potassium magnesium aspartate(PMA) onmyocardium during cool crystalloid cardioplegia,so we can improve the protection ofmyocardial by changing the constitution.MethodsTwenty patients underventricular septal defect from one to five years old which needto receive patch repaired were divided into two groups randomly:group A and group B.The patients in group B received routine cool cardioplegia, and in group A was instead bycool cardioplegia that potassium chloride is replaced by40ml PMA. The followingparameters were recorded to evaluate the safety and efficacy:differences in cardiacenzymes、the rate of re-beating and arrhythmia and Ventilation time.Resultsn There was no deaths in the two groups. The rate of re-beating in group A was higherthan that in group B(P<0.05);The plasma cTnI、cTnT and CKMB level of the two groupsincreased at postoperative3h,reached peak at postoperative24h and recovered atpostoperative third day.Compared to group B,the plasma concentration of cTnI、cTnT andCKMB in group A were significantly lower at postoperative6h、24h、72h(P<0.05). Therate of arrhythmia in group A(1/10) was slower than that in group B(5/10)(P<0.05).ConclusionThe supplement of PMA can provide more myocardium protective effect,so wecareplace the potassium chlorideby PMA.
