Objective: exploring the feasibility of Sunmax collagen to improve thegingival papilla heightMethods: The study period is from March2012to May2013, select eightpatients. four men and four women, aged between28-64years old, betweentwo teeth missing papillae, each relative called papillae saline andinjected with SUNMAX collagen injected with increased use of papillaegrowth, observed and recorded data, preoperative and postoperative daywith the first three months and six months after the first four stages ofsurgery, total track six months. Results: The two groups which using physiological saline and SUNMAXcollagen have no obvious difference at the postoperative day(P〉0.05), butthree months and six months after treatment, a statistical difference couldbe found between the two groups(P〈0.05). with the increase of observationtime, the growth of gingival papilla value decreases. Conclusion: there is a certain improvement on the height of gingiva papillawith sunmax collagen matrix. But with the gradual degradation of collagen, this effect may be unstable. Because of the limited cases and time, furtherstudies with a large clinical experimental data will be needed to research.
