Objective:The aim of this study was to develop a new safe and effective treatment for lower extremities arteriosclerosis obliterans by CT-Guided lumbar sympathetic nerve modulation.Method:Combining with anatomy and physiological function of the human lumbar sympathetic nerve, setting up the process of lumbar sympathetic modulation with CT-Guided technology, formulating the relevant measures to prevent complications that may occur with this modulation method. By the clinical application and follow-up verification, evaluating the safety and effectiveness of "CT-guided lumbar sympathetic nerve modulation technology" used in the treatment of lower extremities arteriosclerosis obliterans.Result:By the verification of clinical application for29cases, the treatment for lower extremities arteriosclerosis obliterans by lumbar sympathetic nerve modulation was all effect. And fllowed up for6months, the pain scores (VAS) significantly decreased after the operation. There were6cases of re-emergence of intermittent claudication with pain in third months after operation, but no new rest pain. The original2cases of toe gangrene failed to revive, and the toe amputation operation was maked at last. Occluded artery not reopening, but arterial branches in the proximal part was significantly increased thickening by CTA scan after the operation. The puncture target of lumbar sympathetic modulation with CT-guided is located in front of of L3body.The use of self-made locator for sympathetic chain puncture with CT-Guided would be more accurate, shorten the operation time, and reduce the patient’s ray exposure. Conclusion:In a word, it is a safety and effectiveness that CT-guided lumbar sympathetic nerve modulation technology used in the treatment of lower extremities arteriosclerosis obliterans.
