Part1The research on hyperbaric oxygen therapy of1,2-dichloroet-hane toxic encephalopathy.【Objectives】To analyze the curative effect of hyperbaric oxygen therapy in1,2-dichloroethane(1,2-DCE) toxic encephalopathy. In order to raise the level of di-agnosis and treatment for clinicians, reduce the disability and mortality, improvethe quality of patient’s life.【Methods】A retrospective study was conducted at78patients with1,2-dichlor-oethane toxic encephalopathy, who were hospitalized in the Neurology and occu-pational Department (Guangzhou NO.12people’s hospital) from Jan.1,2009toFeb.28,2014.38patients were treated with conventional therapy, while others wer-e treated with conventional therapy and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.Analysis an-d summary the therapeutic effect.【Results】The effective rate was estimated with Clinical symptoms and access-ory examinations result. After following up for3months,the effective rate in tri-al group was nearly100%,while the control group was84.2%,statistical analysi-s showed significant difference between the two groups(P﹤0.01). Cerebrospin-al fluid pressure measured on admission in control group was (282.68±59.25)mmH2O,while the trial group was (286.54±55.13)mmH2O, statistical analysis sh-owed no significant difference between them(P﹥0.05). After treated for1m-onth, cerebrospinal fluid pressure measured in the control group and trial grou-p was229.78±45.12mmH2O and194.10±29.71mmH2O respectively. The differ-ence between the two groups was significant(P﹤0.05). After treated for2mo-nths, cerebrospinal fluid pressure measured in the trial group was142.08±31.28mmH2O, significantly lower than166.38±30.33mmH2O in control group(P<0.05).After treated for3months, cerebro-spinal fluid pressure also showed significa- nt difference between trial group and control group(P<0.05), and the result was123.13±21.90mmH2O and167.38±24.01mmH2O respectively.【Conclusions】Conventional therapy combined with hyperbaric oxygen has dist-inct advantages in1,2-dichloroethane toxic encephalopathy, has good curative ef-fect, and it is worthy promotion. Part2Assessment of neuropsychological in1,2-dichloroethane toxicencephalopathy Patients.【Objectives】To explore the morbidity of anxiety and depression in1,2-dichl-oroethane toxic encephalopathy patients, and provide an instruction for further ef-fective treatment.【Methods】50patients were chosen with1,2-dichloroethane toxic encephalopat-hy,who were hospitalized in the Neurology and occupational Department(Guangzhou NO.12people’s hospital) between Mar.8,2011and Dec.30,2014.50healthycolleagues were chosen as the control group, with the same age and gender co-mposition.Analyzing and comparing their scores using Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA) and Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD).【Results】The score of anxiety and depression state between the trail and cont-rol group has significant difference.Their HAMA total scores were (10.96±4.15)and (5.22±2.01) respectively(t=8.799,P﹤0.001).HAMD total scores were (10.82±3.76) and (5.08±1.82) respectively(t=9.716,P﹤0.001).The scores of anxietyand depression in1,2-dichloroethane toxic encephalopathy patients were higherthan those in control group. HAMA and HAMD total scores between femaleand male shows no significant difference in1,2-dichloroethane toxic encephalop-athy patients.(P﹥0.05).【Conclusions】Anxiety and depression are obviously existing in1,2-dichloroet-hane toxic encephalopathy patients. Therefore treatment of anxiety and depressi-on should be offered at the same time with regular encephaledema treatmentfor these patients,so as to enhanced their confidence to overcome the disease.
