Background: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is defined as either kidneydamage or an estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) of less than60ml/min/1.73m2for more than3months.The Kidney damage refers to theabnormal of structure or function, including abnormalities in blood or urinetests or imaging studies; proteinuria is especially important. CKD has becomethe global public health problem, its prevalence and case fatality rate are goingup each year. According to statistics, the incidence of CKD is as high as11%.However, until now little is known about the prevalence of CKD in thepopulation. Because CKD has two chatacters which include high incidenceand low awareness,it is known as a "silent killer". So it is especially importantfor kidney patients’ to have early prevention and early diagnosis and earlytreatment, which can gain valuable therapy time and delay renal failure.Renalfibrosis is a variety of chronic kidney disease progress to the common wayand the main pathologic basis of chronic renal failure, which is a commonconsequence of unilateral ureteral obstruction. The mainly reason for Adultobstructive nephropathy is kidney stones.Although surgical treatment forkidney stones relieve obstruction, but failed to recover the renal function. Howto prevent protection of residual renal function is an important task we need toface. Objective: To investigate the Renal protection effect of shenkang injection onobstructive nephropathy caused by kidney stones on the base of conventionaltreatment. Methods: Seventy-two patients with CKD stage3or stage4, caused bykidney stones, were divided into to groups. Each group were treated byMinimally Invasive Surgery for Treatment of kidney stones, High quality lowprotein and Low phosphorus diet, blood pressure control, Improved anemiastatus, infection control, symptomatic therapy etc. Treatment group, on thebasis of the above treatment combined with shenkang injection. Comparedbefore and after treatment with potassium, serum creatinine, uric acid, ureaand Cys-C level. We also do examination on animal to explore the affect ofshenkang injection on renal tubular interstitial fibrosis.Results:(1) Shenkang injection group had a good significant differences fromthe control group, the blood creatinine levels, blood urea nitrogen levels, blood uric acid levels and Cys-C levels was lower than those of controlgroups(p<0.05).(2)The renal tubular interstitial level of shenkang injectiongroup lower than control group. Conclusions:Shenkang injection in patients with chronic renal failure causedby kidney stones or unilateral obstruction in animal testing of white rabbit renalprotection plays a certain role, to better promote kidney function recovery.
