Objective: To investigate the effects of coronary collateral circulation on theprognosis of the patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI).Methods:107patients confirmed with AMI were selected, all patients were acceptedemergency percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI). These patients were divided tocoronary collateral circulation group and non-coronary collateral circulation groupaccording to the result of coronary angiography. The clinical information of these twogroups were recorded. All the patients were followed up for mean6-10(8.9±1.8)months. Observe the major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE)、N-terminalpro-brain natriuretic peptide(NT-proBNP)、left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)、Gensini score、angina pectoris course、door-to-balloon(D2B) time. Analysis the effectsof coronary collateral circulation on the prognosis of the patientsResults: The NT-proBN of coronary collateral circulation group was lower thannon-coronary collateral circulation group(P=0.048). The LVEF of coronary collateralcirculation group was higher than non-coronary collateral circulation group before orafter emergency PCI(P=0.043、P=0.042). The Gensini score of coronary collateralcirculation group was higher than non-coronary collateral circulation group(P=0.034).The angina pectoris course of coronary collateral circulation group was longer thannon-coronary collateral circulation group(P=0.023). There was no statisticalsignificance of recent MACE between two groups(P=0.299).Conclusion: Coronary collateral circulation can obviously improve the blood supplyof coronary and reduce the myocardial infarction area for the patients who acceptedemergency PCI. The patients of coronary collateral circulation group have longer course of angina pectoris, the severity of coronary lesions was higher thannon-coronary collateral circulation group. However, the existence of coronarycollateral circulation can make the LVEF after PCI and NT-proBNP better. There wasno statistical significance of the rate of recent MACE between two groups, so we canexplain that coronary collateral circulation was a protecting factor for myocardialischemia patients.
