Objective:There are various factors affecting the high recurrence rateof cerebral infarction. In order to discuss and know more about thepredicted factors of the possibility of recurrence, we will not only chosesome casual factors such as, high-sensitivity C-reactive protein,endothelin1, fibrinogen, but will also take two years’ follow-upobserving to those who have suffered from the disease. Methods:To choose123patients with initial cerebral infarction in thesecond affiliated hospital of Fujian medical university from09,2011to032012and check high-sensitivity C-reactive protein, endothelin1,fibrinogen after their being hospitalized within24hours. In addition, every patient is asked to attend the follow-up clinic for2years tilltheir death or the newly cerebral infarction.Results:Among123patients, there are31who died of or suffered formnewly cerebral infarction during two years’ follow-up, which shows thatthe rate of recurrence is25.2%. First of all, by adopting different levelof the hs-crp (<3.86mg/dl,3.86-9.78mg/dl,>9.87mg/dl)for these31patients, we find a significant result that the rate of recurrence isrespectively9.5%,15.07%,62.07%,(P=0.0012,x2=40.05). Secondly, wethen have a more meaningful finding that the rate of recurrence isrespectively9.0%,17.14%,38..84%,(P=0.033, x2=6.84)once differentconcentrations of ET-1(<36pg/ml,36-66pg/ml,>66pg/ml)are divided.Thirdly, if we layer different concentrations of fibrinogen(<3.25mg/dl,3.25-4.12mg/dl,>4.12mg/dl), the rate of recurrence turns out to be16.67%,18.03%,38.63%,(P=0.02,x2=7.8)respectively. To sum up, multiplelogistic regression has shown that the following factors contributes aswell to the patients’ death or suffering from new cerebral infarction-- high concentrations of hs-crp(odds ratio,1.97;95%CI,1.07-3.58;P=0.001),high concentrations of ET-1(odds ratio,2.04;95%CI,1.15-2.78;P=0.032),high concentrations of fibrinogen(odds ratio,1.75;95%CI,1.2-3.04; P=0.008).Conclusion:The above results show that Hs-crp、ET-1and fibrinogen arenot only significantly correlated to patients with initial cerebralinfarction but also the independent risk factor of recurrence of cerebralinfarction.
