Objective: Explore the risk factors associated with Leukoaraiosis (LA).Methods: For patients treated164cases of LA(LAgroup) and104cases of non-LApatients (non-LA group) gender, age, hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia, plasmafibrinogen, D-dimer, uric acid, serum white protein, Homocysteine, smoking, alcoholconsumption and other indicators investigation and assessment of risk factorsassociated with LA for analysis. Results: LA group of patients with diabetes, hypertension, smoking, alcoholconsumption was significantly higher than the non-LA group (P <0.05); comparedwith non-LA group, LA uric acid group (356.49±121.85vs289.96±102.98, P=0.000), age (65.43±9.56vs52.77±7.05, p=0.000), plasma fibrinogen (3.28±0.84vs2.86±0.67, p=0.000), homocysteine (15.57±6.22vs12.74±4.93, p=0.000),serum albumin (49.95±5.06vs43.52±3.61, p=0.006), fasting plasma glucose(5.79±2.87vs5.14±0.64, p=0.026), high density lipoprotein (1.19±0.41vs1.34±0.48, p=0.006), low-density lipoprotein (2.95±1.06vs2.70±0.96, p=0.049)with a statistically significant difference between the two groups (P <0.05). Aftermultivariate logistic regression analysis, high blood pressure, age, Hcy, uric acid, blood serum albumin was independently associated with the occurrence of LA.Conclusion: Description hypertension, age, Hcy, uric acid, low serum albumin is anindependent risk factor for leukoaraiosis.
