Objective To evaluation the effectivenness of percutaneous fixation with screw inthe management of unstable pelvic ring injuries.Methods From January.2008to January.2013,27patients with unstable pelvicfractures were treated in First affiliated hospital of fujian medical universityorthopaedic. According to Tile classification system: these were3of B1,2of B2,9ofC1,7of C2,6of C3.Intraoperative fluoroscopy with closed reduction sacroiliacscrew internal fixation.Clinical results were evaluated by Matta reduction criterionand Majeed functional scoring.Results All patients were followed up for an average period of24.33months (4~48months).The average operative time was25.34minutes(20~80minutes).Theaverage blood loss was less than20ml.All fractures were healed and there was nopostoperative infection, vascular injury, found no screw loosening, fracture andlumbosacral joint dysfunction secondary to complications in the follow-ups.According to Matta criterion for fracture reduction,the results were excellent in16cases, good in9cases,and middle in2, with an excellent and good rate of92.59%.According to Majeed functional scoring,the results were excellent in20patients,good in6patients,and middle in1, with an excellent and good rate of96.30%.Conclusion The sacroiliac screw fixation has been proved to be an ideal surgerymethod because of less damage and blood loss,conducive to fracture healing andearly functional exercise in treatment of unstable pelvic ring injuries.
