IVF-ET Outcomes Of GnRH Antagonist Protocol Versus GnRH Agonist Long Protocol In Women With PCOS

Objective: discuss the IVF-ET outcomes of GnRH antagonist protocol versusGnRH agonist long protocol in women with PCOS to explore which protocol is moreadvantageous.Methods:Choose women with PCOS who need do IVF-ET treatment in JiangXiMaternal and Child Health Hospital from April2013to December2013.There were120IVF-ET cycles had been collected.Depending on its protool those cycles weredevide into group A(group of GnRH antagonist protocol)and group B(group of GnRHagonist long protocol)by used Simple Random Sample.We were statistical andcomparisons the base dates and duration of stimulation and total dose of gonadotropinand No.of retrieved oocytes and2PN fertilization rate and2PN cleavage rate andgood quality embryo rate and clinical pregnancy rate and implantation rate andabortion rate and ectopic pregnancy rate and ongoing pregnancy rate and so onbetween groupAand group B.Results:(1)The base dates between group A and group B have no differences(P＞0.05).(2)The duration stimulation and total dose of gonadotropin in group A aresignificant lower than group B(P=0.024and P=0.028).The E2level and endometriumthickness on the day of hcg have no differences(P＞0.05).(3)The No. of retrieved rateoocytes and No. of transferred embryos and2PN fertilization rate and2PN cleavagerate have no differences(P＞0.05),The good quality embryo rate and availableembryo rate in group A are higher than group B,but statistics compare no significantdifferences(P＞0.05).(4)The clinical pregnancy rate and embryo implantation rate ingroup A are lower than group B,but statistics compare no significant differences(P＞0.05),The multifetation rate between group A and group B have no differences(P＞0.05),The OHSS rate in group A is significantly lower than groupB(5%vs20%,P=0.025);The FET clinical pregnancy rate and embryo implantation ratebetween group Aand group B have no differences(P＞0.05).Conclusion:(1)Clinical outcomes between GnRH antagonist protocol and GnRH agonist long protocol in women with PCOS have no differences.(2)Compared withGnRH agonist long protocol,GnRH antagonist protocol could safe time and moneyfor patients and reduce their excruciation.(3)Compared with GnRH agonist longprotocol,GnRH antagonist protocol could significantly reduce the OHSS rate inwomen with PCOS.(4)Because sample size is small and study cycle is short，whetherthe Ectopic pregnancy rate and abortion rate and live birth rate between GnRHantagonist protocol and GnRH agonist long protocol have differents is not sure.
