Objective:To improve the prevention and treatment of postoperative intervertbraldiscitis of lumbar disk herniation by analysis the infectious risk factors, methods fordiagnosis and therapeutic effects. Methods:From January2011to November2013, there were212cases of lumbardisk herniation took surgical treatment in the Zhangzhou Affiliated Hospital of FujianMedical University.Of which9cases occurred with discitis. We investigated thecase group and the control group by comparing the constituent ratios of age, gender, diabetes, latentinfection, cancer and HBV carriers with eachother.WBC,ESR,CRP of different treatment periods were collated between the twogroups. And investigated conservative treatments and surgery therapies for discitiscases by comparing their costs, the time to be normal of CRP and ESR,and therapeuticeffects. To Investigate the infectious risk factors, methods for diagnosis andtherapeutic effects of postoperative intervertbral discitis of lumbar disk herniation.Results:1.Age,gender,cancer and HBV carriers didn’t present any specificmeanings in the incidence of postoperative intervertebral discitis of lumbar diskherniation. However, the constituent ratios of diabetes, latent infection patients betweenthe control group and the case group were indifferent.2.WBC didn’t show statisticalsignificance in the comparisons between the control group and the case group, butCRP did.3.Bacterial culture to have significance for diagnosis of postoperativelntervertbral discitis of LDH.4.There didn’t show statistical significance of thecurative effects between the surgery and the conservative treatments, but surgicaltherapies can shorten the course of treatments.Conclusions:1.Age,gender, cancer and HBV carriers did not show statisticalsignificance relationship with intervertebral discitis of LDH.but the diabetes, latent infection did.2.The changes of CRP,ESR were found more sensitively and could beregarded as the important indicators of evaluations of the patients. But the WBC,bodytemperature were not much helpful for the early detection of postoperative lumbardiscitis.3.Though there didn’t show statistical significance between the the surgeryand the conservative treatments, surgical therapies can shorten the course oftreatments.
