Along with the rapid development of the economic and the improvement of theliving standards in China, the health consciousness has been enhanced. However, dueto the high pressure and fast pace of everyday life as well as other kinds ofemergencies that happen frequently, the possibility that people encounter accident, emergency events and high-risk diseases significantly increases. Therefore, establishing an efficient and professional emergency system appears to be particularlyurgent and necessary while this could reflect a region’s level of medical sciencemanagement and medical techniques.Medical emergency service refers to the communication, logistics transportation, treatment, and other basic components of professional emergency services, all ofwhich are provided before the patient arrives hospital. It is easy to see from thedefinition that the emergency treatment can be summarized as the following:emergency treatments and logistic transportation of medical doctors, patients anddrugs. As the first aid techniques develop rapidly today, China’s medical standardshave made a considerable achievement. However on the other hand, the logistics levelremains undeveloped due to the lacking of knowledge and practice which becomes abottleneck in some areas. Therefore to timely and efficiently transport medical healthprofessions, medical supplies and ambulances as well as to provide proper medicalservices including transporting urgent patient to the best-fit hospital is currently themost important content in upgrading the medical emergency logistics. This paper attempts to systematically analyze and summarize the currentcondition and the main existing problems in medical emergency logistics usingTianjin120Emergency Center as the research object, trying to present a detailedoptimized scheme that fits China’s national conditions.
