This thesis was consisted of three parts. The extraction and separation of chemicalconstituents from corms of Gladiolus gandavensis, affecting factors of extracting celastroland pristimerin from Celastrus monospermus Roxb. by ultrasonic wave and the reviewson advances in methylanthraquinone, were reported, respectively. In the first part, twelvecompounds were isolated and identified from the corms of Gladiolus gandavensis,including eight methylanthraquinones. The technology for extraction of celastrol andpristimerin was discussed in the second part. The third part is mainly about the advancesin methylanthraquinone from natural resources in resent years.In the first part, studies on medical constituents extracted from corms of Gladiolusgandavensis was carried out through using modern separated and analyticaltechnologies. Twelve compounds including eight methylanthraquinones were extractedand isolated by using column chromatography and recrystallization methods. Theirstructures were elucidated as methyl1-methyl-7-methoxy-3,6,8-tri-hydroxylanthraquinone-2-carboxylate (s-1), methyl1-methyl-6,7-methlenedioxy-3,8-dihydroxyanthraquinone-2-carboxylate (s-2),1-methyl-6-methoxy-3,8-dihydroxyanthraquinone-2-carboxylate (s-3),1-methyl-3,8-dihydroxy-6-methoxyanthraquin-one(s-4),1-methyl-3,6,8-trihydroxyanthraquinone (s-5),1-methoxymethyl-6-methoxy-2,3,8-trihydroxyanthraquinone (s-6),1,7-dihydroxy-3,6-dimethoxy-anthraquinone (s-7),1,6,7-trihydroxy-3-methoxyanthraquinone (s-8),2β,3β,16α-trihydroxy-olean-12-ene-23,28-dionic acid-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (s-9),2β,3β-dihydroxy-olean-12-ene-23, 28-dionic acid-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (s-10), eugenin (s-11), methyl (E)-p-hydroxy-cinnamate (s-12).In the second part, a study about the main influence factors for extraction of celastroland pristimerin was made by ultrasonic-assisted extraction on the basic of modernstatistics methods. And the contents of celastrol and pristimerin was determined byUPLC-photodiode array detection. Effects of several experimental parameters wereevaluated and optimized. Ultimately, the optimal extraction method was determined.The third part is a review about study on the advances in methylanthraquinones fromnatural resources in recent years. It will be helpful in the following study ofmethylanthraquinones, especially the chemical compositions of the Iridaceae familyplants.
