Objective the bradycardiac arrhythmia model of SD-rats were set up by injecting verapamil through tail vein. To observe the influence of Wenxintang groups、Atropine group and saline group’s heart rate and PR intervals.At the same time, to detect the NO、MDA and SOD activity in the SD-rats’myocardial extracts. The study above done to explore the effects and mechanisms of Wenxintang for further clinical treatment.Methods30mice were by random divided into five groups. For the blank group、Atropine group and Wenxintang low、moderate and high groups. RM6240signal application was used to record the heart rate and PR intervals. To test the activity of NO、MDA and SOD in SD-rats’ myocardial extracts, Green method for No, thio-barbital method for MDA and xanthine oxidase method for SOD.Results (1)Comparing with the same group, which Ver was not injected, every rat’s heart rate was reduced at a high level(P<0.01);when the second time Ver was injected, comparing to the first injecting situation, rat’s heart rate was slow down too(P<0.01);comparing with the blank group after the second injection, every group’s heart rate was improved(P<0.01);comparing the Atr group, the heart rate of rats of high dose of Wenxintang was improved(P<0.01);(2)comparing with before the injection of Ver, the P-R interval of the group of the same after the injection of Ver was prolonged(P<0.01);after5min of the second injection of the Ver, comparing with the blank group, the P-R interval of the high and middle dose of the group of Wenxintang was shorten(P<0.01);(3)comparing with the blank group, the content of NO in the myocardial extracts was improved(P<0.01);(4)comparing with the blank group, the content of the MDA in the myocardial extracts of the high and middle dose group was reduced(P<0.01);comparing with the blank group, the content of SOD in the myocardial extracts of the Wenxintang group was improved(P<0.01);comparing with the Atr group, the content of SOD in the myocardial extracts of the high dose of Wenxintang group was improved(P<0.01).Conclusions wenxintang can be positive and helpful to SD-rats bradycardiac arrhythmia by verapamil injection, shorten the PR intervals of SD-rats. From the viewpoint of biological chemistry, its mechanism and effects maybe came from increasing the activity of SOD in the myocardial tissue, and decreasing the activity of MDA and NO in the myocardial tissue.
