Meehania urticifolia (Miq.) Makino belongs to Labiatae and Meehania plants. It was the perennial herb, distributes in mainly distributes north part of our country many provinces. Its natural resources and the implication quantity were quite rich. Meehania urticifolia (Miq.) Makino was used as medicine for the entire grass and spicy, bitter, nature micro cold.It could relieving superficies by cooling and inducing diuresis to alleviate edema. It can be used for common cold fever, stomachache, hepatitis, cholecystitis, difficulty in micturition and snake bites and so on.The thesis was carried out mainly on resource, chemical constituents and quality evaluation of Meehania urticifolia (Miq.) Makino and the following aspects were included:A comprehensive review was finished based on overall literature related to resource, chemical constituents and pharmacological activity of the plants of meehania, which provided useful information for its further study on chemical constituents, pharmacological activity and quality standard.In. this thesis, Meehania urticifolia (Miq.) Makino were extracted with fifty percent of the ethanol and to extract with the different polar solvent. To obtained petroleum ether, acetic ether, n-butanol and water. N-butanol and acetic ether were isolated by normal phase chromatography. To obtained beta-sitosterol from acetic ether part, and obtained two compounds isolated in n-butanol part. They were identified as5,3’-dihydroxy-4’-methoxy-flavone-7-O-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1'6)-β-D-glucopyranoside, ethyl-a-D-glucoside by chemical reaction, phytochemical properties and spectral analysis (MS).By using GC-MS methods, Meehania urticifolia (Miq.)Makinoessential oil was analysed, and60compounds were identified, occupies the total ingredient91.37%. The results showed that the main compounds were Caryophyllene oxide(19.922%),[3aS-(3a.alpha.,3b.beta.,4.beta.,7.alpha.,7aS*)]-octahydro-7-methyl-3-methylen e-4-(1-methylethyl)-1H-Cyclopenta[1,3]cyclopropa[1,2]benzene(8.018%),.alpha.-Cadinol (6.179%),.tau.-Muurolol (6.173%),Caryophyllene(5.191%).In this thesis, ethyl-a-D-glucoside as index in the using of HPLC chromatography inspect product quality for Meehania urticifolia (Miq.) Makino in different harvest. The results showed that ethyl-a-D-glucoside’s peak area have a satisfactory linear correlation during0.004mg-0.032mg. The difference of the contents of the ethyl-a-D-glucoside in Meehania urticifolia(Miq.)Makino in different harvest was obvious. In May and July, the contents were declined. The ethyl-a-D-glucoside rise basically the tendency, the highest content was0.67%at August. The contents were steadied in September and October, it provided meaningful evidence for its qualitative control and evaluation. The contents of total flavonoid and polysaccharides in Meehania urticifolia(Miq.)Makino in different harvest were determined by UV-eyeable spectrophotometry. The results showed that the difference of the contents of the flavonoid and polysaccharides in Meehania urticifolia(Miq.)Makino in different harvest was obvious. The contents of total flavonoid were in the range of1.45%-2.27%, and the highest contents was2.27%at10th July; The contents of polysaccharides were in the range of9.01%-14.97%, and the highest contents was14.97%at31th July. To analyzing the dynamics of accumulation was found that the contents were rised in May and July. The contents were decreased significantly in August and the contents were steadied in September. There had relation between the contents of different kinds of the chemical constituents and different harvest, it provided a scientific basis. In this thesis, Meehania urticifolia(Miq.)Makino microelement was analyzed by atomic absorption spectrographic method. The results showed that Fe、Mn、Zn、Cu content had difference and the highest content was Fe,473.75μg/g. The second content was Mn. The lowest content was Cu. Because microelement and the human body health and the life have the close relationship. These kinds of elements have the direct influence to the human body, participates in many metabolism the processes. The thesis was used for determining the antioxidant activity of different solvent extraction part and different concentration gradient from Meehania urticifolia (Miq.) Makino in vitro antioxidant activity by four methods:DPPH, ABTS, Reducing power and Folin phenol. The results showed that n-butanol part> acetic ether part>total extraction> petroleum ether part.
