Objective: To study the cell classification and the level of tumor necrosis factoralpha (TNF-α), interleukin6(IL-6),interleukin-10(IL-10)in broncho-alveolar lavage fluid of rats model with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) in different altitudes. In order to know the influence of hypoxia onbronchial inflammation of COPD.Methods:Constructed the model of COPD with the method of intraperitoneal injec-tion of cigarette smoke extracts. Sprague-Dawley(SD) rats (n=50) were randomlydivided into5groups:control group, saline group and COPD group in moderatealtitude, saline group and COPD group in high altitude.Observing the cell classificationwith the method of Pap stain and the level of TNF-α, IL–6, IL–10with the method ofenzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid of each group. Results: The proportion of macrophage in COPD group in moderate and highaltitude were higher than saline group in same altitude(P<0.01). The level of TNF-α,IL-6in saline group in high altitude was higher than saline group in moderate altitude(P<0.05);The level of TNF-α,IL-6in COPD group in moderate and high altitudewere higher than saline group in same altitude(P<0.05).There was no significantdifference of the level of IL-10among5groups.Conclusions:1.Hypoxia increased the proportion of macrophage, the level of TNF-αand IL-6in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid in health rats in high altitude.2.Hypoxia didn’t influence the bronchial inflammation in COPD rats in high altitude.3.The role of IL-10in bronchial flammation of COPD and hypoxia in high altitudeneed to do further research..
