In recent years, the development of Sichuan poplar plantations gradually attracted much importance, many places began to develop, making the Sichuan poplar Plantation develop rapidly, but due to a complex geographic conditions in Sichuan, poplar plantations of development there is an urgent need to adapt to the different habitats of poplar. At the same time, the Sichuan development potential of poplar plantations is extremely significant, so the demand for certified seed increases. And that was the lack of improved varieties, severely limits the Sichuan poplar plantations, rapid and healthy development. Therefore, it is a great practical significance to develop to introduce European poplar and local breeding of poplar and physiological ecology in Sichuan. Research results are as follows:After three years of work, on the main distribution of poplar Sichuan provincial district, there are resources survey, germplasm collection and selection, establishing a poplar gene library, including 18 species of native Populus individual 1560 multiple copies. Sichuan provincial poplars have significant speed differences in growth. P. kangdingensis, P.schneideri var. tibetica, P. yunnanensis are excellent poplar species at an elevation of above 2500m altitude plane. P. cathayana, P. pseudoglauca, P. xiangchengensis, P. szechuanica in Sichuan cultivation are less likely at low altitude areas. P. adenopoda is the most prospective poplar type used to Sichuan mountainous region afforestation, but reproductive difficulties in technology is limited to its breeding and cultivation. P. yunnanensis, P. adenopoda, P. trinerviss and these natural hybrid poplars will be the most important germplasm in Sichuan province in the next 5-10 years.Hybrid poplar, Hybrid poplarⅡ, and P. yunnanensis are good germplasms suitable for low altitude areas in Sichuan province of poplar cultivation, breeding purebred directly is more likely, especially hybrid poplarⅠ. P.gonggaensis is a class of rare and fine poplar germplasm, direct breeding used for the use of the variety of gardening is more likely.Introduction of more hybrids, T×D are not suitable for the development in Sichuan, P. trichocarpa and P. nigraas parent combination is also not suitable for cultivation in Sichuan. American P. nigraas and Europe-hybrid poplar are more appropriately suitable for Sichuan environmental conditions; they are the breeding of the key object. The introduction of poplar,107 and 108, R247, R270 act well, suitable for cultivating in Sichuan Valley and the Sichuan basin. Sichuan poplar cultivation of site conditions is abnormal complex, any clones is not likely to adapt to a variety of types of ecological conditions. Sichuan poplar breeding is focused on the type not sensitive to the environment. This ensures that the selected varieties have a wide range of ecological adaptation. Through the introduction and breeding adaptation of Sichuan ecological conditions of poplar is relatively difficult, therefore the focus of future breeding should be taking full advantage of the already introduced American black poplar and p. and get a cross breeding with Sichuan local poplar.Under heavy metal stress increased nitrogen elements of study shows:heavy metal stress can cause reduced chlorophyll content of poplar; reduce the amount or activity of the enzyme Rubisco, lower P SⅡquantum delivery efficiency, destroying thylakoids structure and function, thereby blocking the photosynthetic process PSⅠ, PSⅡ, causing the plant photosynthesis, but join the adequate nitrogen element, not only can greatly alleviate the above phenomenon, even can promote the growth of Poplar plants.
