Poplar and willow have a strong ability of accumulation of heavy metals and a great potentiality in remediation of soils contaminated by heavy metals. A soil culture experiment was carried out to investigate the effect of Cd,Zn and Pb combined pollution on the growth and enrichment of heavy metals in14varieties of poplar and willow. The results showed that heavy metal concent in cv.’Nanlin-895’和Salix jiangsuensis CL.’795’ was very high, but total uptake was low;there was the highest heavy metal concentraction and lower biomass in61-1,however, lower heavy metal concentraction and higher biomass in cv.’Nanlin-95’,so the heavy metal total uptake of61-1and cv.’Nanlin-95’was very high;Cd and Zn of transportation factor (TF) and bioaccumulation coefficient (BCF) of61-1and cv.’Nanlin-895’ increased obviously.By the normal Carbon dioxide concentration as a control, studied the effects of Carbon dioxide and Burkholderia on growth, physiological and biochemical characteristics and uptake of heavy metals in3varieties of poplar and willow.the results were summarized as following:1、The treatment of elevated Carbon dioxide concentration and Burkholderia significantly reduced the root biomass of cv.’Nanlin-895’ and the leaf and stem biomass of ’Zhonglin2001’,In high pollution condition there was a significant increase in root biomass of’Zhonglin2001’;2、The GR in poplar increased obviously under The treatment of elevated Carbon dioxide concentration and Burkholderia, but the CAT、POD、SOD in poplar(cv.’Nanlin-895’) droped when it was in high pollution condition.3、MDA content in poplar decreased in low pollution condition but the content in high pollution condition was enhanced under elevated Carbon dioxide concentration and Burkholderia.4、The treatment of elevated Carbon dioxide concentration and Burkholderia can significantly improve Cd content in poplar and Zn content in leaf of cv.’Nanlin-895’ and in root of CL.’795’.Besides,Pb content in cv.’Nanlin-895’ increased obviously in high pollution condition, under low pollution condition Pb content in leaves and root and under high pollution Pb content in root of Salix jiangsuensis CL.’795’decreased significantly.5、The heavy metal total uptake in leaves of cv.’Nanlin-895’was very high under high pollution condition, but the total uptake in leaves and stem of’Zhonglin2001’ decreased and,Pb content in leaves and root of Salix jiangsuensis CL.’795’also decreased.
