The Study On Supplementation Of Straw Mixture Pellet Feed On Herbivorous Livestock In The Winter-spring Alpine Pasture

In order to explore an appropriate scheme of supplementary feeding in Gansu alpine fine-wool sheep,valuate the effects of supplementation of straw mixture pellet feed on growth performance, blood biochemical indexes, slaughter performance, meat quality traits and Rumen fermentation indexes of Gansu alpine fine-wool sheep in the winter-spring alpine pasture.30 healthy Gansu alpine fine-wool sheep(female) aged 90 days were assigned to five groups and each group with 6 lambs.Each group was fed on 0.5Kg feed whose concentrate to roughage ratio was 5:5 after the herd.Then evaluate the effectiveness of the corn straw mixture pellet feed.The phenotypic correlations,path coefficients, direct and indirect correlations between the body weight and several body sizes of Gansu alpine fine-wool sheep were analyzed by the SPSS 19.0 software.The results showed as follows:(1)The body height, body length, chest circumference and chest depth show significant correlations to the body weight at 0.01 level. The phenotypic correlations are 0.766、0.837、0.834 、 0.801 respectively. The body length and chest circumference have significant influences on the body weight directly and indirectly,however, the body height and chest depth show effects to the body weight indirectly by assisting other characters. The optimal regression model of the body sizes and body weight was established by doing the stepwise analyses between the body weight and body size. The equation was Y=-43.851+0.425X2+0.587X3.(R=0.914, P<0.01).(2)The corn straw mixture pellet feed can increase the ADG of Gansu alpine fine-wool sheep. Especially the group Ⅳ whose ratio of corn straw:soybean straw was 1:1.The body height,chest circumference and serum total protein was affected significantly by the pellet diet.It can also increase the Carcass Weight, dressing percentage,eye muscle area and Meat tenderness.(3)The straw mixture pellet feed had no side effect on p H、VFA and NH3-N in rumen fluid.(4)The feeding length, ruminant feed length and each food group chewing time in groupⅡ was higher than that of group I(P<0.05),the other indexes are have no significance.In conclusion,straw mixture pellet has a significant impact on ADG,dressing percentage and meat quality.It has no side effect on the development of ruminal and the indexes of rumen fluid.
