Pig breeding industry is developing quickly in our country. The scientific pig breeding technology can improve the productivity of pig farm, but the collection and control of the environment parameters for pig farm is also very important. At present, the wired connection is used for the equipment of pig farm which is complexity and high cost. A wireless network monitor system for pig farm based on patrol car and borrowed address routing algorithm was designed in this paper. The pig farm environmental monitoring system can provide accurate parameters for administrator. It will improve breeding efficiency and reduce production costs.In order to solve the problem of numerous nodes and complex wiring in the nursing pigsty,the tree type wireless sensor network by the Zig Bee technology was used in this paper. The collected data would be sent to the coordinator through the Zig Bee wireless network, and then through the RS232 serial port to send data to the embedded site controller S3C6410. The SQLite database and BOA server were transplanted on the S3C6410, and the CGI control program was also designed, so the users could read the real-time data remotely by the browser. And the users also could see the living conditions of sows and piglets by the system.In order to collect the video and audio information flexibly for nursing pigsty, a patrol car with sound detector and environmental parameter sensors and camera was used in this projcet.The patrol car were installed with the coordinator and controller. It made the video information being delivered to controller in real-time, and the mobile coordination could form network with the orphan node flexibly.In order to improve the success rate of orphan nodes connecting to the wireless sensor network, and collect the nursing pigsty environmental parameters accurately, an improved borrowed address routing algorithm was designed in this paper. The borrowed address range of the parent node was set to neighbors within two hops communication distance. For expanding the range of borrowing address to improve the success rate of address assignment. The parent node borrowed address firstly from the descent nodes in same branch for the orphan node to reduce the time-consuming. In the process of routing, the router would judge the type of the destination node for reducing the packet transmission delay.The experimental results show that the borrowed address algorithm improved the successrate of network address assignment. With the mobile coordinator node, the pig farm wireless sensor network could build the network flexibly and collect the temperature, humidity and the concentration of carbon dioxide accurately. The wireless network monitor system for pig farm is designed in this paper. It realizes the remote real-time monitoring of sows and piglets, and it has a good application prospects of modern precision breeding.
