Haloxylon ammodendron, an important sand-fixing plant, is widely distributed in northwest China desert region. However, due to influence of the nature factor and the artificial factor,Haloxylon ammodendron is severely damaged. This thus leads to many ecological issues. In recently years, some achievements were made in artificial breeding and desert transplanting. But the rate of survival was quite low. In the present research, the effect of organic fertilizer on the eedling growth and desert transplanting of Haloxylon ammodendron in the desert region of Liangzhou district were investigated. This investigation was based on the fact that the sodium can significantly promote the growth and develop of Haloxylon ammodendron. The main results were as follows:1.Desert plants special organic fertilizer can enhance the the growth rate and drought tolerance of Haloxylon ammodendron seedlings.The values of height, branching number, number of plies, diameters of main stem were all higher for the Haloxylon ammodendron after fed by Desert plants special organic fertilizer than that of diammonium phosphate fertilizer and compound fertilizer. This suggested Desert plants special organic fertilizer favor the growth of Haloxylon ammodendron when they were subjected to drought stress. Qingyuan, Great Wall application of desert plant special organic fertilizer of Haloxylon ammodendron plant higher respectively than other processing high 9.78%and 1.83%; branch number were high 100.48%, 27.65; layers are respectively high 9.09%, 2.61%;stem diameter were higher 38.56%, 17.94; crown were high 122.43% 30.11%.2.Desert plants special organic fertilizer used in the study can significantly enhance both the survival rate and growth rate of Haloxylon ammodendron.Compared with the controlled group, the values of survival rate, stem length, branching number, the main stem diameter and canopy in Haloxylon ammodendron were all higher after fed by Desert plants special organic fertilizer when transplant to the desert. This indicated Desertplants special organic fertilizer can promote the survival rate and growth of Haloxylon ammodendron after transplanted to the desert. Application of desert plants special organic fertilizer of Haloxylon ammodendron survival rate respectively than organic fertilizer treatment and the control treatment high 27.78%, 68.29%; plant height were 35.48%, 64.03%; branch number were93.33%, 262.5%; stem diameter respectively 41.95% higher, 64.31%; crown were as high112.14%, 691.84; root length were 57.8%, 59.64%; root diameter respectively 30.92% higher,48.51%; Haloxylon ammodendron dry weight were high 100.57%, 211.23%.3. desert plants organic fertilizer should promote a comprehensive.Undertaking windbreak and sand work and cultivate drought tolerance in China Haloxylon vast northern desert areas, desert plants organic fertilizer also have far-reaching application potential, in recovery, reconstruction desert ecosystems and to save water has a very important role should conduct a comprehensive promotion.
