The walnuts in Xinjiang have good quality,large fruit,thin shell,higher oil content,early fruiting and high yield,beautiful appearance,strong adaptability,is known as the walnut’s country.Statistics showed that until 2014, Xinjiang walnut acreage was nearly 500 million mu, of which walnut acreage is nearly 50 million ton, but the harvest is still totally dependent on labor, which has become an important factor restricting the development of the walnut industry, so mechanized harvesting walnut is the inevitable trend of industrial development.In this paper,a kind of canopy shaker device was designed under the physical character of Xinjiang orchard walnut.The feasibility of the mechanism was verified through kinematic and dynamic analysis and.This paper lay a theoretical foundation for the development of the orchard walnut harvesting machines.The physical properties of walnut in Xinjiang orchard were studied.The main distribution area of the lowest distance from the ground to walnut was [150,1200),the minimum height of trunk14.3cm,the minimum diameter of trunk 8.2cm,the average canopy diameter 5.38 m,the average weight 59.88 g,the peduncle separation force 12.81~71.51 N,the width of longitudinal diameter47.3~66.9mm,the width of transverse diameter41.1~52.5mm..The results laid the foundation for designing the device shape.On the basis of preliminary studies, the canopy shaker device for walnut and its main part were designed.The crank length of the device was 60 mm.The rod disk can effectively reduce the damage of the walnut branches by the way of combining the active vibration and the passive rotation in the process of harvesting.The modal and static analysis of frame was carried by ANSYS Workbench software,and the result showed that the strength and stiffness basically meet the requirement of the device working. The improvement scheme was put forward according to the analysis results.Through the kinematic analysis,the expressions of acceleration and velocity were deducted.The simulation of velocity curve and acceleration curve were obtained by ADAMS.And the force on the walnut was solved as 589.57 N,while the speed was 150r/min.The force was bigger than peduncle separation force,the device meet the requirement walnut picking.By using the Math CAD software the dynamic analysis on the device was carried,and the result showed that the inertia force of single crank slider was-299.87~592.69 N. The width of the inertia force-61.12~60.32 N was carried out by using four crank slider,the effect of the balance was good.
