This study use two low light-resistance tomato variants as material, pink tomato and Xifen No.3, to study the effect of different shading treatment and soil moisture on growth and development and quality of tomato. The shading treatment is 100% transmittance, 50%transmittance, 20% transmittance with seeding term, flowering term and fruit term of growth phase gradient of tomato. The results are as follows:1. The effects of shading on plant growth of tomato: Under low light stress, the growth of tomato plant were restrained. Shading treatment have an effect on plant height, stem diameter, dry matter accumulation and chloropHyll content of tomato. Impact of significant differences at different growth stages, and the different effects of different varieties. But the overall trend is consistent. With the shade intensity increases, its height, stem diameter tended to increase; Above and below ground dry matter accumulation decreased, chloropHyll content increased slightly. For low light tolerance of two different tomato varieties, and the corresponding impact is not the same. Same shade environment, the indexes of pink tomato are lower than the indexes of Xifen No.3, and low light tolerance of pink tomato is much lower than Xifen No.3, and different response to light intensity of different tomato varieties.Studies have shown that Xifen No.3 are more resistant to low light, in the light of the cultural environment is weak, low-light low tolerance varieties will produce more serious weak light stress, affecting their growth and development, while low light varieties can grow normally.2. The effects of shading on yield and quality of tomato: tomato plants under shading stress, its yield and quality are subject to different degrees of impact. The research shows:with the increase in intensity of shade at different times, tomato soluble solids, PH, soluble sugar content, lycopene content decreased, total acid content gradually increased, and two varieties of different periods of shading variations trend has been consistent. But shading treatment at different growth stages on the yield and quality of the degree of influence is different in tomato. The shade treatments of seedling term and flowering term on tomato yield is great, the biggest effect fruit-period stage shade treatment on quality of tomato. The 20%transmittance deal severely inhibits the normal growth of tomato plants.
