C.chingii is a new record of Cercis in hunan province, it has been found that the specimen in botanical gardens in hunan province on August 21,2014 for the f-irst time. The C.chingii found in yao township pine, jiangyong county of hunan p-rovince is also found in limestone mountainous region for the first time, for the e-nvironmental control desertification, improve the regional ecological environment is of great practical significance.Based on the seeds of C.chingii and the redbud annu-al as the test materials, respectively to C.chingii the seed germination of seed and C.chingii drought resistance were studied. In seed propagation experiment respective-ly set up three single factor experiment respectively, the influence of the matrix of seed germin-ation, the influence of temperature on C.chingii seeds germination and the influence of soil depth onC.chingii seed germination. In drought resistance test set up seven water stress gradient and water stress on C.chingii morphological char-acteristics, biomass and the influence of physiological and biochemical indexes. The main conclusions of the seed propagation test:(1)The influence of substrate on germination rate experiment, respectively, in perlite and peat soil, river sand and loess subsoil in seeding test. The test results show that the seeds in other factors remain unchanged, the germination rate was the highest,75.80%, followed by the peat soil>river sand> yellow subsoil. The results indicate that the matrix permeability, water retention for seed germination has great influence.(2) In the temperature test, the seeds were placed in 10℃,20℃,30℃ in air temperature in planting and breeding, the test showed that the C.chingii species in 30℃ under the environment of the time is short, for 12 days. Thief of time from short to long respectively 30℃>20℃> 10℃, when the temperature in the range of 10 to 30 ℃, with the increase of temperature, the seeds germinated time shorter.(3) In Overburden Depth to test the effect, tested in C.chingii seeds were placed in perlite media, set 1cm,2cm,3cm in three kinds of covering soil depth. The test results show that the C.chingii seed in overburden of 1cm germination rate was the highest, reaching 75.80%, germination rate from high to low, respectively, for the lcm>2cm>3cm and thus soil depth is deep, C.chingii seed germination rate is low cm of soil cover depth of the most favorable In C.chingii seeding propagation. Soil permeability and permeability are two important factors that affect the C.chingii seed germination rate and the permeability is the main factor. The main conclusions of the drought resistance test:(1) C.chingii redbud drought resistance impact test of seven physiological and biochemical indexes (soluble sugar、 soluble protein、 CAP、 SOD、 proline、 MDA), biomass (plant height, ground diameter, leaf area)and water content of experimental study. Study found, C.chingii leaf soluble sugar, proline and MDA content with the drought stress degree strengthens gradually increased, in the test of 7 physiological indexes, die from late C.chingii leaf blight, loss of enzyme activity, its leaves in CAT、POD and SODactivity in affected by drought stress will be with the degree of strengthening of drought stress and increased first and then decreased trend. Test results show that the above six indicators can be as the C.chingii drought resistance index, which soluble sugar、 proline acid、 MDAthese three indices and drought resistance was significantly related to. C.chingii leaf soluble protein content under drought stress did not occur regularity.(2) Under the effect of drought stress, C.chingii plant height, diameter, leaf area growth are limited, slow growth. C.chingii in the leaves of chlorophyll and plant moisture with drought stress The degree of strengthening gradually decreased. In continuous water shutoff for 20 days, the C.chingii began to appear yellow leaves, leaves and slight wilting phenomenon that is adapted to the C.chingii planted in southern karst rocky desertification region.
