Development Of Registration System Of Breeding Sheep And Goat

Breeding sheep play an important role in mutton sheep production, so it is essential to evaluate genetic value of breeding sheep accurately and manage them scientifically in breeding section. At present, breeding registration system is quite mature overseas and wildly used, which has achieved good results. However, in China, the basic recorded data of breeding sheep almost have been stored in paper files for a long time, and even there are no records for some local breeds, which brings a lot of inconvenience to the managers and hinders the development of mutton sheep industry. Therefore, it is imperative to construct a registration system in national meat-type sheep and goat industrial technology system.This system which has two-type user permission combines breeding sheep management procedures with enterprises, demands together, basing on B/S three- layer architecture and the Apache + MySQL+ PHP(AMP) development environment. Two kinds of rights are super user and general user, which super users can manage the all data of breeding sheep and maintain the system whereas general users can just manage the data of their own farms.The main functions of this system include:1 Breeding sheep registration functions, including individual registration, batching registration and Excel tables importing registration.2 Breeding sheep genetic evaluation function, calculating the breeding value based on half sib offspring and individual data.3 Breeding sheep pedigree generation function, generating the four generations of breeding sheep.4 Reminder function, reminding for mating, pregnancy, birthing and weaning.
