The study is in order to improve horticultural traits of genetic multiple alleles inherited male sterile line ’GMS3’ of milk Chinese cabbage. In the present study, the fertile lines ’1170’, a steady line, are considered as the goal lines, and taking a continuous backcross method of directional transfer to breed a new male sterile line. With the new acquired genetic sterile line as female parent, to cross with inbred formulated milk cabbage hybrids which are used as male to creat hybridization combinations. Through the variety comparison tests, screening superior hybrid seeds, primary results were as follows:1. Genetic male sterile line ’GMS3’ is the measured cross female parent, identified genotypes of transferred fertile lines ’1170’ through test cross, it proved to be that the dominant homozygous is recovery genotype on the nuclear sites of infertility,that MsfMsf.2. On the basis of genotype (MsfMsf) of the target strain, the study designs a directional transfer breeding method, the sterility gene of ’GMS3’ is transferred into the lines ’1170’ that is to be transferred, obtained a new genetic sterile line of the milk Chinese cabbage, and the corresponding "the AB line" type Ⅰand "temporary maintainer line".3. Acquired genetic male sterile line was subjected to sterility identification results showed that sterile plants and sterility of sterile lines were 100%, and sterility is genetically stable, botanical character of male sterile line is closed to the target line, the test achieved to the directional transfer breeding results.4. Obtained sterile lines are considered as female to cross with 10 inbred lines to formulated crosses combination. Experiment completed a species comparison test, agronomic traits of each hybrid combinations were identified. Comprehensive survey results for each hybrid combinations yield, plant type, petiole color, and so on, and ultimately selected two excellent hybrid combinations, that ’Z10’ and ’Z34’. |
