Greenhouse soil culture experiment was employed to research effects of organic manure and wood vinegar on chemical properties and enzyme activities in coastal saline soil. In this study, cattle manure(C20, C50, C100), chicken manure(F20, F50, F100) and wood vinegar(W50, W100, W300)were used to improve saline soil and the coastal saline soil was investigated in Yingkou. The results showed that:(1)The content of coastal saline soil organic matter, easily oxidizable organic carbon(EOC), dissolved organic carbon(DOC), total nitrogen, NH4+-N, NO3-N and available phosphorus were increased considerably by wood vinegar, and the wood vinegar can also significantly reduce the pH and sodium adsorption ratio(SAR) of saline soil. The same result as cattle manure and chicken manure except the content of NO3--N and SAR. SAR was reduced when we applied cattle manure or the application amount of chicken manure was 20 g·kg-1, however, SAR was increased when the application amount of chicken manure were 50 g·kg-1 and 100 g·kg-1. What is more, the results that mentioned above were more significant if cattle manure or chicken manure was mixed with wood vinegar, but effect of organic manure on pH and effect of wood vinegar on the content of organic matter were not significant.(2)The promotion of activities of coastal saline soil phosphatase, glucosidase, chitinase, leucine aminopeptidase, phenol oxidase and dehydrogenase can resulted from wood vinegar, cattle manure or chicken manure, but the activities of dehydrogenase can substantially reduced when the application amount of chicken manure was 100 g·kg-1. Effects of wood vinegar on coastal saline soil enzyme activities were closely related to the concentration of wood vinegar. In addition, the results that mentioned above were more significant if cattle manure or chicken manure was mixed with wood vinegar, but effect of wood vinegar on leucine aminopeptidase activities was not significant. And wood vinegar was more effective than cattle manure in increasing the activities of phenol oxidase. On the whole, the applying of moderate cattle manure and chicken manure and the applying of wood vinegar not only improved soil enzyme activities, but also improved soil chemical properties in the coastal saline soil. Comprehensive principal component analysis and previous researches, C100W50, C100W100 and C100W300 were suggested to improve coastal saline soil.
