Callerya speciosa (Champ.ex Benth.) Schot, a vine plant of Leguminosae Callerya, is one of the common dietotherapeutic plant in Guangxi and other southern provinces. Now,there was a big problem in the production, the swollen root little and unstable. It had a negative activity for planters and C. speciosa industrial. In this research, we used seedlings as materials and observed the anatomy characteristics of C. speciosa root. The change rules of soluble sugar, starch, lignin, cellulose, sucrose synthase, amylase and endogenous hormone in C. speciosa root were researched in this study. The phytohormone was used to control and investigate the expanding root growth. The main research results were as follows:1. The secondary xylem had a large proportion in the anatomicl structure of seedling swollen root, and containing a lot of parenchyma cells, starch granule, more small diameter catheter. Nonexpanding root Secondary xylem with bigger dismeter had very small percentage. The main structural characteristics in C. speciosa expanding root maybe included parenchyma cells, duct cells and starch accumulation.2. The content of endogenous hormone GA3, ZR, IAA in the root and leaf of more swelled and lateral root in C. speciosa plants was higher than the low degree development root 3.15,1.4, and 1.8 times higher, respectively. It was significant difference. The GA3 and ABA in the root that was managed by compound sodium nitrophenolate with the highest content was 2.23 and 2.76 times than CK. It had a very significant difference. The content of GA3 in the leaf that was dealed with brassinolide was highest. The content of IAA in the leaf that was disposed by 6-BA was 1.51 times than CK. It also had a very significant difference.3.6-BA, compound sodium nitrophenolate and sodium could improved the weight of soluble sugar in root, and were 1.53,1.54, and 1.48 times compare with CK. GA3 could improved the root starch content and have significant differences between others. Lignin content was the lowest by used compound sodium nitrophenolate, the highest cellulose content was used by compound sodium nitrophenolate too.4. The plant growth regulators could obviously improved activity of sucrose synthase and amylase in the root system. The treatment of phenol sodium nitrate and GA3 had a higher activity of sucrose synthase. respectively 0.43,0.37 mg/mgFW h, that had a significant difference compare with other treament; and activity of amylase were 2.33 and 2.78 times compare with CK, and had a significant difference.5. The plant growth regulators treated as a positive role in seed germination process. The treatment of 5 mg/L GA3,6-BA and forchlorfenuron and 0.01 mg/L brassinolide,15 mg/L Compound sodium nitrophenolate,8 mg/L sodium had a positive role for seeding, the root biomass, lateral root number more than others. The treatment of 15 mg/L compound sodium nitrophenolate lateral root number was 5.8 times compare with CK, central base root thick, stout controlled 2 times and 3.3 times, and there was a significant difference compare with CK. Leaf net photosynthetic rate and stomatal conductance were 1.9 times and 3.6 times compare with CK; compound sodium nitrophenolate and GA3 treament could increased activity of amylase and sucrose synthase significantly.
