Tea plantations ecosystem is a half artificial ecosystem management is different from farmland and the forest ecosystem, has the high ability of carbon sequestration and has important contribution for per unit of GDP carbon emission. In this paper, the study area is Ya’an Mingshan county, which panted vast of tea, and the target is to evaluate the carbon sequestration ability of the county tea plantation ecosystem. First of all, data collection and analysis, using the ENVI software and ArcGis geographic information systen software to extract tea garden information from the march 18,2010’s remote sensing images of Mingshan county, statistics the tea garden area of miangshan county and make tea garden pattern; Second, field observation and laboratory analysis, using biomass method to calculate the carbon reserve of the tea tree, grass and litter, and soil in the sample area, and comparison analysis with the surrounding farmland ecosystem; Finally, comprehensive evaluation of carbon sequestration capacity of tea garden in mingshan. The main results of this study summarized as follows:(1)Through the remote sensing inmage enhancement, optimal band selection, obtain the best band combination of TM1,TM6,TM8.The classification accuracy is higher, the overall classification accuracy is 94.42%,the Kappa coefficient is 0.93,The fault error of the tea garden is 5.77%.Satisticing out that mingshan county’s tea garden area is 17646.3hm2, about 20.37hm2 smaller than statistic area of mingshan’s indusdtry development council in 2010,error rate is 0.12%.(2) Tea tree organs carbon content is different, but the difference is not big,and ranged of 43.52%~47.89%. we have the carbon content of the organs of the tea tree is tea tree branches (47.7%)> tea tree leaves(45.83%)>tea tree root(45.38%), using the biomass method calculated the carbon sequestration of each tea is 144.12g, per unit area has tea tree carbon sequestration 7.6t/hm2.(3)Tea garden soil organic carbon concentration in the range of 0.66%~2.84%, the coefficient of variation in the range of 0.44%~10.44%,soil organic matter is between 1.93%~4.90%.The soil organic carbon concentration in the soil of 0~10cm soil layer>10~20cm soil layer>20~40cm soil layer, with the soli layer increasing, the soil organic carbon consentration of the each soil layer decreased gradually, and change significantly between soil layers. The tea tree+sweet osmanthus tree model per unit area soil carbon reserve is 109.1 t/hm2, Tea garden net model per unit area soil carbon reserve is 77.6 t/hm2,the weighted average of the tea garden soil organic carbon of ming shan county is 81.2 t/hm2.(4)Weeds carbon rate in the range of 33.15%-38.93%,the weighted average of 34.07%,litter carbon rate in the range of 40.90%-45.82%,the weighted average of 43.75%,the weighted average of the dead branches and weeds carbon is 1.56t/hm2.(5)The unit of carbon of various tea plantation ecosysten mode are ranging between 75.7 t/hm2~135.5 t/hm2, The tea tree+sweet osmanthus tree model ecosysten per unit area carbon reserve is 118.8 t/hm2, Tea garden net model ecosysten per unit area carbon reserve is 86.7t/hm2,the weighted average of tea plantation ecosystem carbon is 90.4t/hm2,greater than farmland ecosystem carbon 85.1t/hm2.The carbon sequuestration of the extract tea plantation ecosysten of march 1 8,2010 remote sensing image is 1.60 million tons, the carbon sequuestration of tea plantation ecosysten of mingshan county in 2000 is 0.3 million tons, ten years, the tea plantation ecosysten carbon sequuestration increased about 1.3 million tons, and an average annual increase of about 0.13 million tons.Tea plantation ecosystem carbon sequestration ability is stronger, more than a lot of forest ecosystem, garmland ecosystem and grassland ecological system, has positive effect to alleviate global warming, development area carbon trading, improve tea farmers economic benefits and ya’an eco-city construction.
