The purpose of this research is to discuss the influence that different fertilizer dosage and treatment have on the growth and yield quality of cotton which is directly seeded and planted after the harvest of the rapeseed and cultivated in a short season. The other purpose is to provide theoretical information for high yield and high efficiency cultivation in fertilizing short season and direct seeding planting. This study uses regular cotton lines C619 as material, using direct seeding, and planting after the harvest of the rapeseed. The study also uses 5 kinds of controlled release compound fertilizer dosages, and 2 kinds of urea fertilizer dosages. In 2014, in the Yiyang City Datong Lake cotton region, science and technology experiments were conducted on the influence that fertilizer dosage and treatment of short season and direct seeding cotton have on growth and yield quality. The main results are as follows:1.Fertilizer dosages had no significant effect on the cotton growth process. Squaring stage decreases when controlled release compound fertilizer dosage grows. Boll setting stages increase when urea fertilizer dosage goes up.2.Fertilization had significant effects on the plant height and fruiting branch number, had no significant effects on first sympodia branch height.using more controlled release compound fertilizer helped the plant grow higher.3.The differences of boll weight in different stages are obvious. With the delay of the blooming time, the single boll weight with different fertilization treatments stay the same: the whole weight has an increasing trend, and the single boll weight of 8/5 was the lowest, and the boll weight of 8/30 day was the highest.4.The effects fertilizer dosages have on the microm value, the uniformity index, the elongation rate, the average length of the upper, except the breaking tenacity, were very significant, Micronaire value, uniformity index, elongation, average length of the upper affected by controlled release compound fertilizer a lot, the fiber uniformity decrease when controlled release fertilizer and urea fertilizer dosages increase; Increasing fertilizing helped increase micronaire value. As for the impact on cotton quality by fertilization, further study is needed.5. Yield and fiber quality of cotton which had the treatment of 1200 kg·hm-2 with Controlled release fertilizer and 105 kg·hm-2 with urea fertilizer were significantly higher than those in other plants.
