Ramie is Urticaceae Boehmeria perennials, which is only second to cotton as a kind of spinning plant fiber materials in china. Its has been known for using fiber and the hemp products are also well into market. However, it’s relatively little research and utilization of forage ramie. In fact, ramie has been used as forage in long history. Which is one of high-quality forage crops for pigs, sheep, cattle. Because of its high yield and higher crude protein content, more and more broad prospects for ramie forage. In recent years, some excellent forage species is all ages by many feed companies and farmers, so the demand of varieties forage ramie is rapidly increase. At present, there is no building for the core characteristics of forage ramie germpasm library.In this study, with 628 copies of the original germplasm ramie, we combined multiple quality traits and quantitative traits and used the method of stratified sampling, preferred sampling and multiple clusters. Finally, we constructed primary core forage ramie germplasm bank. This study’s main contents and conclusions are as follows.1. From 628 copies Ramie Germplasm, we used the method of stratified sampling, preferred sampling and multiple clusters. Finally, we constructed 203 copies of core forage ramie. Through the RPR=0.941, MD%=6.345%, VD%=91.45%, CR%=88.09% and VR%=107.05%, we can find that the ramie forage primaries core collection can well represent the genetic diversity of the original germplasm.2. Using EST-SSR markers means, we marked the polymorphic molecular of 203 copies of core collection and analyzed the difference of polymorphism. By NTsys 2.1 software analyzing the polymorphism cluster. The result showed, the 203 copies of the resources could be divided into 12 categories in the mean similarity coefficient 0.717.3. We identified and evaluated the drought resistance, mosaic capabilities, typical agronomic traits and crude protein content in 203 parts of ramie forage germplasm. The results showed, the 203 parts of germplasm resources have strong drought resistance and the ability to mosaic, and there are different correlation between eight agronomic traits. Selected 31 parts of high-yield germplasm (fresh weight> 1250 g/stump) and 32 parts of high-quality germplasm resources (crude protein> 25%). Finally, we also selected nine high-yield and high-quality germplasm in forage germplasm Ramie, respectively. Xiangtan Peel House hemp, Liuyang-Aoba ramie, Nanxian-ramie, Yongchuan-Peel ramie, Wushan-hemp, Sichuan-0, Yushan-ramie, Suining-peel ramie and Shaoyang peel ramie.
