Effects Of Macleaya Cordata Extracts On Muscle Quality,Immune Performance And Production Performance In Young Pigeons

There were young pigeons at the age of 10 days selected and randomly divided into 7 groups in the study, which was designed by single factor stochastic design method. Each group was set 10 cages for repetitions, and every 4 young pigeons were fed in a cage. Young pigeons of group A were blank control group, which were fed with basic diet, and young pigeons of group G were antibiotic group, which were fed with basic diet with 150mg/kg aureomycin. Young pigeons of group B,C,D were respectively fed with basic diet added with 30 mg/kg、40 mg/kg 、50 mg/kg Sangrovit. Young pigeons of group E and F were individually fed with basic diet added with PE50 and BE60 at the same amount of 40 mg/kg. All addition dose of the testing drug were according to the weight of the drug. Effective components of Sangrovit、PE50 and BE60 were extracted by plants of Macleaya. Young pigeons in the study were cultured with net in cages, fed with the improved artificial irrigation 100 ml syringe, three times a day,1 hour after the second irrigation fed with care sand at a time. The trial lasted for 20 days,5 days of which for prepared period, young pigeons at the age of 15 days were tested officially and collected samples on an empty stomach in the 31 days of age. The results were as follows:1. The effects of different alkaloids in the extracts of Macleaya cordata on the growth performance of young pigeonsUnder the conditions with same basic diets and ad libitum drinking,the results show that the daily gain and the rate of gain:feed of young pigeons have certain differences among different groups with different alkaloids added in the diet of young pigeon,with insignificant difference between groups (P> 0.05). The dates of daily gain and the rate of gain:feed of young pigeons in group with the amount of 40 mg/kg Sangrovit are better than that 30 mg/kg,50 mg/kg group. Compared with control group, daily gain and the rate of gain:feed of 40 mg/kg Sangrovit increased by 9.99% and -9.14%, respectively. Compared with the group of 40 mg/kg Sangrovit and PE50 group, the dates of daily gain and the rate of gain:feed of young pigeons in group with BE60 are higher, without significant difference(P>0.05).The dates of daily gain and the rate of gain:feed of young pigeons in all trial groups are lower than the antibiotic control group, with insignificant difference among groups (P>0.05). And the results have shown that the growth of young pigeons can be promoted and the dates of daily gain and the rate of gain:feed of young pigeons can be improved by different alkaloids in Macleaya cordata, and group of BE60 is better than the groups of Sangrovit, which is better than the groups of PE50.2. The effects of different alkaloids in the extracts of Macleaya cordata on the slaughter performance and organs indexs of young pigeonsThe study suggest that compared with blank group, the slaughter rate,the chamber half net rate and the eviscerated ratio of all experimental groups added different alkaloids in the extracts of Macleaya cordata are higher,but without significant difference (P> 0.05).Compared with antibiotics group, the slaughter rate,the chamber half net rate and the eviscerated ratio of all experimental groups added different alkaloids in the extracts of Macleaya cordata have no significant difference (P> 0.05); compared with blank control group and antibiotic control group respectively, the dates of chest muscle rate in all experimental groups and the group BE60 have no significant difference (P> 0.05);compared with blank control group and antibiotic control group respectively, the dates of chest muscle rate in the group of PE50 have downed significantly (P< 0.05).The study suggest that chest muscle rate of young pigeons is affected slightly by the different alkaloids in the extracts of Macleaya cordata. And the results show that the effect of different alkaloids in the extracts of Macleaya cordata on the thymus index,the index of bursa of fabricius index and pancreas are insignificant among groups (P> 0.05).And the effect of Sangrovit on the spleen index of young pigeons is gradually bigger with the increased dose; compared with blank control group, the effect of Sangrovit with the amount of 30 mg/kg on the spleen index of young pigeons is significant, and the effect of PE50 on the spleen index of young pigeons is very significant, while the effect of the rest of the trial groups on the spleen index of young pigeons is not significant, compared with blank control group and antibiotic control group respectively. And the effects on spleen index are insignificant among the groups of PE50, BE60 and the group of 40 mg/kg Sangrovit (P> 0.05). In conclusion, the results of the study indicate that different alkaloids in the extracts of Macleaya cordata have certain effect on the growth and development of spleen of young pigeons, but little impact on the development of the pancreas.3. The effects of different alkaloids in the extracts of Macleaya cordata on blood serum index of young pigeonsIn the experiments, the contents of total protein (TP), ALB and HDL in serum of the experimental groups have no significant difference (P> 0.05), compared with blank control group and antibiotic control group respectively. And the contents of LDL in serum of the experimental groups are a little higher than the control group, but without significant difference compared with blank control group and antibiotic control group respectively(P> 0.05). And the results show that pigeon milk with different alkaloids in the extracts of Macleaya cordata have a little impact on the concentration of HDL、LDL、ALB and TP in serum of young pigeons. And compared with blank control group and antibiotic control group respectively, the concentrations of SOD、GSH-Px and T-AOD in serum of young pigeons in trial groups are not significant(P> 0.05).And the same time, the concentrations of SOD、GSH-Px and T-AOD in serum of young pigeons are insignificant among the groups of PE50, BE60 and the group of 40 mg/kg Sangrovit (P> 0.05).In a word, different alkaloids in the extracts of Macleaya cordata have a little impact on the concentrations of SOD、GSH-Px、T-AOD in serum of young pigeons.4. The effects of different alkaloids in the extracts of Macleaya cordata on muscle quality of young pigeonsThe contents of the crude protein in all Sangrovit groups are lower than the control group and antibiotic group. And the results of Sangrovit group with the amount of 40 mg/kg are significant (P< 0.05), but that of group PE50 and BE60 are insignificant (P> 0.05), respectively compared with control group and antibiotic group. And the dates between the group PE50 and BE60 have no significant (P> 0.05),former are higher than latter. But the contents of the crude protein in group PE50 are higher than that of the group 40 mg/kg Sangrovit, and the differences are extremely significant (P< 0.01). Compared among the groups of 40 mg/kg Sangrovit, PE50 and BE60, the differences of crude fat,crude ash, crude water, and cooked meat rate are not significant (P> 0.05).The dates of crude water and cooked meat rate, crude ash of the muscle of young pigeon can be improved by different alkaloids in the extracts of Macleaya cordata,however, which has a little effect on the date of crude fat.5. The effects of different alkaloids in the extracts of Macleaya cordata on immune performance of young pigeonsThe results show that the content of the IgG in serum in all groups of Sangrovit relatively increased with the increased dose, compared with blank control group. And the content of the IgG in serum in group of Sangrovit with 50 mg/kg is extremely significant compared with blank control group (P<0.01),and the remained groups is not significant compared with blank control group(P> 0.05).And the contents of the IgG in serum in all experimental groups are lower than antibiotic control group.And the content of IgG in serum in group of Sangrovit with 30 mg/kg is significant compared with antibiotic control group (P<0.05),but the remained groups is not significant (P> 0.05). And the contents of the IgA in serum in all experimental groups is not significant compared with blank control group and antibiotic control group(P> 0.05). And the contents of the IL-1 in serum in all experimental groups is not significant compared with blank control group and antibiotic control group(P> 0.05),and there are not significant among experimental groups (P> 0.05).Meanwhile, the content of the IL-6 in serum in group of PE50 is significant compared with blank control group (P<0.05),but the contents of the IL-6 in serum in group of BE60 and all groups of Sangrovit are not significant(P> 0.05), respectively compared with blank control group and antibiotic control group. Thus different alkaloids in the extracts of Macleaya cordata have not obviously impact on the contents of IgA,IL-l and IL-6, however, the content of IgG in serum can be increased, and the effect of 50 mg/kg Sangrovit is optimum.
