As the main body of land ecosystem, forest has ecological, economic, social, and cultural and other functions. Multifunction forestry development, give full play to a variety of functions of forest, maximize meet people’s growing material and cultural needs, is the world forestry workers has long been striving for the goal, but also attracted much attention in recent years.Forestry multi-function study has important significance at present stage, first of all, the study on forest multi-function, setting up management system, exert forest functions, achieve the goal of multifunction forestry management, is to meet the needs of the historical mission of forestry in the new period. Second, in the past the traditional forestry theory under the framework of research is basically the study of timber production of a single function, an urgent need to further study of multi-functional forest related issues, multifunction forestry transformation provided the scientific basis for the implementation, better realize the change of traditional management to the multi-functional; Finally, in order to deal with in the development of national ecological function and long-term benefit and expectations regional forestry development goals and operators balance relations between and among their own rights and interests, safeguard the rights of and balance between the interests of the multi-function forest management must be put through to implementation, through a practical level, multi-function forest planning and management plan, and to make effective policies and regulations, such as security system implementation.The main research contents and results were summarized as follows:(1) Soil and water conservation and water conservation function: by using ecological economics value evaluation method, from the litter layer and a decomposition layer 2 level analysis, found that forest regions overall gap between dry matter accumulation quantity is not big, the same stand in the same amount of dry matter accumulation, a bit gap.
